Pretty much everyone for my absolute ruthless playthroughs, though when I do these playthroughs I prefer to leave Kasumi and Zaeed alive, since the DLC characters have the least impact if they are kept alive.
Who are you willing to kill, and who not?

This topic is addressed to those players who have gone through the trilogy a number of times, trying out different variations of the story.

I gess one/2 mission is a bit different per character, but more thant that ?

Aren't 1-2 different missions variations of a story?
Kill Wrex. Wreav gives a whole different perspective on the krogan.
Kill Legion. Geth VI gives a whole new perspective on the geth,
Kill Tali and experience Xen's expertise. You can even learn of a Prothean flagship that way.
Kill Mordin. Padok Wiks is a whole different salarian with different motivations.

Vazgen points to some differences. I would also say that killing certain characters can lead to a different roleplaying experience.
Let's say you have an anti-Krogan/pro-genophage Shepard. You can play out that Shepard by killing Wrex on Virmire and then dealing with Wreav in the sequels. You can even convince Mordin/Wiks to not cure the genophage if you destroyed Maelon's cure data.
Or, let's say you want to play a pro-Quarian/anti-Geth Shepard. By not activating Legion you deal with Geth VI instead of Legion and can express more suspicion of the Geth than you can of Legion. (Also, peace is not an option in this case.)
It all depends on what you want to do. Much of the "little things people have discovered" thread is about people trying out different variations of the game to find all the little dialogue changes they might have missed by not taking an alternate path.

Funnily, I think you can still be Pro-Krogan, and yet sabotage the genophage.
The ME2 Shaman's themes and message is a bit lost in ME3, but it's still all there in Grunt.. in between the lines.
The Shaman had this weird philosophy about pain being a path to enlightenment (Eve has the same deal as well), but he took it one step further by saying it was a good thing to destroy their own planet... that only by learning the hard way over and over again will they reach their potential (it's all similar to Mordin's philosophy of "limitations" and slow development).
And if you question him, he's disappointed. "I thought you of all aliens would understand."
He's an extreme Destroyer... to the point of advocating apocalyptic conditions.
Come ME3, this is erased... the voices of Eve, Wrex/Wreav drown it out.

Anyways, I don't mean to complicate things. It's just another example of how the game can change depending on alignments and who's dead/alive.

Kill Jacob - more dialogue from Dr. Cole
Kill Grunt - Urdnot Dagg shows up. Good character
Kill Mordin - Padok Wiks take his place. Good character
If sabotage the genophage with Wrex alive, Thane is in ME3 and Kirrahe alive from ME1, Kirrahe will give a cool speech on Earth. This happens since Wrex is killed and Thane is killed by Leng
Kill Miranda - Henry Lawson can live or he and Oriana can die
give the geth to Cerberus or don't activate it - geth vi takes it place in ME3
Kill Legion - geth vi is referred to as Legion
Kill Tali - Admiral Xen joins Shepard on the dreadnought for some dialogue
Kill Kasumi - choose between saving a Spectre or a homeworld
Kill Zaeed - choose between assets or saving a colony
Kill Thane - salarain councilor will die unless Kirrahe is alive and he will die protecting the councilor
Kill Jack - Ensign Prangley will die on Grissom
Kill Wrex or don't recruit him - Wreav is in charge. Excellent character
Garrus and Samara make no difference except a line of dialogue from another character

If Kaidan dies during the coup you get a completely new scene with Liara. (and one of the few times Shepard's biotics are mentioned, if Shepard is a biotic.)
Spoiler
I didn't click on the link... and accidentally skipped it for Ash in the game. I'm very curious seeing it firsthand one day.
Can we blame Liara at all for that mess? She's the one who gave Shepard to Cerberus in the first place....without even telling anyone to boot.

I don't kill most of them but when I kill, I kill Miranda and Jack gladly, I managed to like even Zaed after a while but I couldn't like these two ![]()
I also like Padok Wiks on the Normandy so even though I like Mordin so much I may consider killing him.

Have done that now with shooting Mordin in the back. Felt awful, but awkwardly satisfied as well. RIP Mordin ![]()
