It is the ONE THING I Have never done in this game...     I will not accept any Flamer / AIU / TGI/Juggernaut  builds. Convince me of something you did that was fun on your Platinum Solo. Give me your best builds and let me see what happens.

Personally I never found solos to be enjoyable so I don't bother. I mean you either enjoy them in which case you do solos, or you don't in which case you don't bother.

Use Venom + Geth Scanner or Armored Compartments (the choice between those is speed vs. survival, basically), and pick Firebase White Cerberus platinum.  

 

Pick any character. DAI, Justicar, and QME basically puke DPS and AOE all over the place so I'd recommend those or something similar. Would not recommend Vanguards for this particular loadout.

Hold your ground as long as possible. Once you're overrun, move back up the stairs behind you and kite enemies around the outer perimeter of the map.

Once I did a Platinum Solo... SO F*CKIN BORING, that's why I always play with my friends...

Also, I suck at soloing, I've done my shair of lolGold solos to compete the mastery for a few times, but I am a complete failure when it comes to plat.

It's the quickest way to go with the venom, lot's of phantoms/dragoons eating up the wave budgets very fast.

Use the Venom. The character doesn't really matter after that point. That last I did was with the Novaguard I think.

 

Pick Cerberus/White, be patient, and hope that you don't get devices.

Many characters can be fun for plat solos, but the runs I enjoyed the most were with adepts. 3 examples :

 

- Human adept VS Cerberus. Build.

 

- Asari Justiciar VS Reapers. Build.

 

- Asari adept VS Cerberus. Build.

 

 

It looks like... I enjoy soloing with women.

Cos they are, with most kits and loadout, the fastet faction to solo.

Asari Justicar versus Cerberus. Intense, but fun!

Asari Valkyrie Sentinel versus Reapers.

Asari Adept versus Cerberus.

Cabal Vanguard versus Cerberus.

All great kits and challenges to begin with.

Phantoms and goons are worth 80 and 70 points toward the budget cap and are fairly quick to kill provided you don't suck or if you do suck like me you can just use a Venom.

Easiest one I've done was with the Volus Merc versus Geth. Spam dat Shield Boost, spam dat Reegar, watch dem toasters burnnnnnnnnnn!!!!

Yeah, I don't enjoying soloing either, and my Plat solo was a grind. If you don't care about the nerd points, then I wouldn't even bother.

I know some people like it, but to me, it seems like it defeats the purpose to add solo challenges in a game designed to be played with other people.

The Jugg is mediocre at best for a solo, so it is a good thing you are not considering it.

 

Batarian Soldier is one of the best solo character that rarely is discussed for some reason.  Or go Krogan Soldier with Graal.

I probably should knock one out with the Bat Soldier.

I think what you want to make an easier Plat solo is a kit that has DOT powers (or just hellacious DPS), is tanky, and can eradicate Dragoons and Phantoms fairly quickly. The shield regen on enemies is just such a pain in the ballsack on Plat if you can't deal with it quickly. A venom makes things a lot easier because it can manage most infantry fast, an acolyte or scorpion is also ok for phantom issues if you have a fairly high DPS build. 

 

I've done:

Justicar- pretty easy one just Acolyte, Reave most of the time. Occasionally acolyte strip/pull/reave phantoms. Bubble a choke point/kill zone. CSMG is alright if you feel you need it for armor but I personally just stacked reave with the acolyte.

Volus Merc-easiest one because shield boost plus cyclonic IV is so ridiculous. Reegar anything close to the decoy/drone, reset when things go boom. I watched Slasher's solo before doing mine and that helped a lot in figuring out how to deal with specific waves but it's a fairly straight forward easy solo as long as you don't get staggered out of shield boost or gibbed.

Huntress- another decently easy one. I think I used the Arc Pistol with power mod on her versus Collectors. Just keep DC on high budget number enemies like Banshees, Scions, Ravagers, or whatever but primarly focus on killing Abombs on the waves they are on because they are worth a decent amount IE 3Abombs worth more than a Praetorian.

Drell Infiltrator- Arc Pistol, Power Mod, Geth Scanner, Recon Mine Spam=Profit.

Collector Adept- vs Collectors. This was actually hard for me at the time. Dark Channel high budget number enemies, DS I used only for DOT most of the time, I would explode it occasionally when I could kill multiple enemies with it.

Talon Merc- Easy mode until objective waves then pray because he is squishy as hell.
