Hey there ladies & lords,

 

I've been experiencing this odd new bug recently recently on the Xbox One. Some time during a match, there's sort of an electronic "zap" sound, and all sound is gone.

 

The first time it happened, I freaked, because it sounds very "physical", so I automatically assumed my TV set's speakers had croaked. No sound in the game, no sound from any system messages, no sound on the dashboard. However, as soon as I close DAI completely, everything is back to normal.

 

This only started occuring this week, and happened numerous times since. Anybody experience the same?

It's a fairly common bug that's been around since launch across all platforms.  You can get around it on pc by changing your speaker setup (headphones, surround sound, etc) in the audio options to something else and then back again, but on consoles your only option is to restart as far as I know.

Unfortunately, this is nothing new...  This bug is here since the game launch... You are lucky having only to experience it this week.

I think this bug may be caused by latency issues. Most of the times when this bug strikes, I was entering the match mid-game and experiencing sound effect delays.

Happens often on xbox and as noted the only way I have found to get it back is to start again, other issue I have is not starting in the lz with the team which happens often and starting on wave 2 to 4, this happens direct from the lobby, we ready up and god knows where I will end up and on what wave, it's a pain as a couple of times I end up fighting more than I can handle with no support as the team is elsewhere.

It's strange, I'm regularly (not excessively, yet almost daily) playing MP since release, and this has never happened until Monday.

I did the same thing (ps4 version) and it fixes the music but not the other sounds entirely, so it's best to restart the game regardless.

I think this bug may be caused by latency issues.

Clocked +100 hours in that one, and no occurence.

 

I guess my luck simply just ran out.

I have had it a few times in both mp and single player. It must be the game itself, as it affects multiple platforms both on and offline.

Been happening to me on and off for 5 months now on PS4.  Also has the added effect of making people in party chat sounds like robots....

 

Have to reboot game.

Happens quite often on peasant box.

FC in particular stutters and pops with the occasional loud beep.

Sometimes the sound just drops with no warning.

Happens quite often on my pc, MP only, in singleplayer i never had this bug.

Actually I prefer this one to black screen/ no hud/ lost connection /Narnia, at least you can still play.

I get this all the time on SP. I haven't noticed it on MP.

I was looking for these options recently and couldn't find them - so I had to play mute, which is a very strange experience.
