There wouldn't be a dry eye in the house?
I'd be laughing my ass off, and then I'd be signing on to these forums to get a good chuckle from all the hatred that would here.
There wouldn't be a dry eye in the house?
Discussions like these can be tough. I think it says a lot about the characters either way that people care so much and want to see them again
I'd certainly love to learn the results of the HOF's quest re: the Calling, at any rate.
And I've seen a lot of fan art and fic, as well as some threads, lamenting Hawke now potentially being dead as the Warden may be dead. These characters are now in the same boat, as "quantums," and when DAI's DLC is over the Inquisitor will likely be there as well...if not potentially deceased then removed from the action for one reason or another as the HOF and Hawke are if not sacrificed. It is hard to stop caring about a protagonist you enjoy, and I'm happy to learn more about their stories however we may do this, even if they do not physically appear ![]()
Voice is a problem, so is characterization. Unless the Warden comes back as a PC, we'll run into the same issue as Hawke and his blood magic hating.
Frankly I don't think touching that headache is worth the trouble.

They already did a half assed job with Hawke and I never asked for Hawke to come back...Thanx alot .
A DLC would be also half assed , considering how big is the Warden and how many background she could have .
Please leave my warden out of this....

Someone would have eventually post it.
Bioware has demonstrated such excellent story-telling chops throughout their various franchise games that just leaving the Warden's fate open ended seems like such a waste.
We don't actually have to "see" the Warden again, given that they specifically said that the HoF is off pursuing a cure for the Calling, personally I see a terrific way to tie that all up in one sweet, melancholy lore moment.
Have some character, whether the Inquisitor, or one of the original Warden's companions, or a future lead character find his final resting place. The cure discovered, similar to Avernus potion, but formulated too late to spare our beloved hero from succumbing to his afflcition. His/her honored corpse nearby (possibly a suicide to avoid becoming a blight ghoul) and a journal, scroll or note with final comments.

Personality can be set easily in the Keep.
I don't think the series will succeed unless the Hero is brought back and the players allowed to select a proper ending for the Hero.
The character could still be silent, I doubt the trailer is showing everything that's actually in the game (like how the wasteland was before the fallout).
I'm gonna be sad if we don't have a dog though.
Oh but yeah I'm all for the Warden coming back but the devs are not into the idea so I doubt it'll ever happen.
Oh look, yet another HoF thread, must be Wednesday? Yep it is.
Incidentally, can't wait for FO4!
I couldn't -not- do it as soon as I read your post...

I would hate that, actually. So would most others. My Hero is the King of Ferelden. He would return there eventually, no matter what.
This is why players should be given the opportunity to choose their own Hero's ending. Or at the very least BioWare should stick with the endings they gave in Origins and Awakening (aside from the mysterious disappearance of course).

The eyes wouldn't be dry because they'd be too busy pounding out hate threads about killing off the warden for real off-screen.
How about:

You people are so needlessly mean. Just ignore the thread if it bothers you that much.
Another day, another "I wants the Warden!"
No. Just let it die.
I'd be fine with it ![]()
The Warden must be back as the main character in the future games. As for the voice, I think they should give us the option to voice him or not.
Hell no.

No they don't

You know Origins was the first Bioware game I played since KOTOR, and I really enjoyed the plot and my Wardens however all of these rabid "BRING THE WARDEN BACK NAO!!1!" threads are even making me despise the warden!
EDITED because TSL is an Obsidian game ![]()
I'm still trying to figure out if this is a joke, or maybe high-quality trolling. That means the Warden from DAO can come back- and they can have a voice. We are now officially out of the age of the silent protagonist. People will now expect to hear the main character and so be comfortable knowing that the individual has a distinct voice. This means there is now plenty of reason to be confident in bringing the Warden back for a DLC (or two) as an NPC for the Inquisitor. The issue of voice is resolved.
Good days ahead!

Personality didn't work for Hawke, and Hawke only had three different ones.

It didn't work for Hawke, and s/he was much more defined than the Warden.Personality can be set easily in the Keep.

What is your criteria for a "proper ending" and why do you think others share it?
Well it actually did work for Hawke, the only difference was that all of Hawke's dialogue didn't reflect it
