Is it total immunity to initial damage then it's gone or is it a percentage DR that goes away with time? How long is the initial spawn's immunity?
How does spawn immunity work?

I believe it's immunity. I've spawned in only to be sync-FUUUU by a crab, but still lived with no damage done.

I should've specified enemy spawn immunity. My bad.

Enemies are immune when they spawn. In some of my solos, enemies took a rocket to the face, fell down on the ground and then got up like nothing ever happened.
Their DR gradually goes down to zero. I don't know the time it takes for the DR to drop but I believe it's just a few seconds - <5 secs would be my guess.

As far as my knowledge goes, it's a DR that goes down smoothly with time, and is high enough to grant total immunity for the first few seconds. I doubt anyone has got any precise answers unless he's taking a look at the code, but judging from experience I'd say that total immunity time is in the seconds... Maybe 2-3 secs after they spawn.

There is a damage reduction/immunity for newly spawned enemies for a short period, that is why always wait a few seconds after they have spawned to attack the enemies otherwise they will survive even a rocket to their face.

So BioWare had a system to help prevent spawn nuking, yet it's still a failure. And during all the updates it never occurred to BioWare to extend the immunity time. How very sad.

Eh, it wouldn't do much other than annoy people playing the game without missiles.

Hmm, maybe you've got a point.

It's also pretty crappy that the enemies can shoot you when they spawn, but you can't do anything to them because they're immune. They shouldn't be able to attack until their immunity wears off. But that might be a whole different conversation
How about those times when you spawn in, and a Banshee just waits to give you a hug straight away. This leads to many rage-quits ![]()

You should think it through first. What would happen if the enemies are immune longer?

Yep. Exactly that would be the problem.

That's seems long. I know that enemies spawned on top of me several times and I killed them... is that because the immunity goes down gradually or because it is gone the moment they fire on me?

I dunno. But it isn't called immunity. It's called damage reduction. How much DR, doesn't say. ![]()
And I don't know how it works on and off-host. Could be the same problem like with Phantom DR on host.

I see. Well... doesn't really change anything.
Btw... your avatar continues to be very... distracting. Ahem. ![]()

Yes knocking a pyro on his ass with a rocket is kind of hilarious yet terrifying at the same time.

The funny thing is that an armored unit does get knocked down. So how much force does the Cobra have?

That seems like it makes sense and goes with experience. Missiles fired immediately do zero damage even to weak enemies, after a very brief period DR seems high enough that high health pool enemies can still tank the explosion whereas weaker enemies die in the explosion.

6 secs for the total DR duration sounds about right.

The look the Praetorian gives, when the whole team races to nuke the spawn and nothing happens...

Just watched the speed run record by the mythic magic mushroom
:
They fire missile roughly 3 sec after each spawn. If you look at the missile after 3 min mark, you ll see a nice cleanup except for one knocked down dragoon. But he stands up at the same time as the next spawn.

If he had bit one's head off I would agree, he actually looks like someone farted.
