I only plays PuG, and the matchmaking and all sorts of bugs related to connection issues got me really pissed as well.
For eample:
You see a bunch of demons coming your way and you are somehow magically teleported back to where you were whenever you try to move. The f**k? And you suppose to just see your character die and bleed out into the fade? F**k me.
You are so nearly killed that goddamn dragon on perilous, and guess what, LONG black screen / Loading screen due to host migration. And you have to fight that dragon all over again from the start. Guess what, even worst when host migration fails... You wasted 10 minutes of your life waiting on that damn loading screen and now you telling me the whole run is a waste of time and you need to start from zone 1 all over again? No exp and loose that dragon call? No f**k that!
You see your characters just CAN'T run! They move forward a meter, and then f**king move back half a meter instantly, wtf? And when you see everyone on your lobby is jumping forward instead of walking/running, you know you've ran into this mess.
Bioware, FIX THIS! You have now drawn all of my aggro at once!
It seriously ruins the gameplay whenever it happens.
So will this just be yet another post that gets blatently ignored that's trying to address a pretty important issue?

...yes...
...yes...
I guess so ![]()
It would be nice if an expectation could be set. Something like: "we understand this issue and will be looking into it". Or even something like "We acknowledge this is a problem, but do not have an ETA for a fix." I can understand if this is partially because of peer to peer connections. Bioware can't fix the internet. But there are some fundamental elements of matchmaking beyond lag that should be looked at.
Bugs - What causes this? is there any fail safes that can be implemented to fix?:
1) Infinite loading screens
2) Host migration failures
3) Narnia
4) Rubberbanding
General Matchmaking - Why does this happen? What is the code logic?:
1) Quick match finding no one over and over
2) Apparent region/minimum ping lock
3) Quick match causing you to disconnect and go back to main screen
I think so much as a overview of the logic the matchmaking works would be informative.
These days there is hope they might answer or address it depending on what their priorities are and workload currently. At the very least, I have enough trust in Luke and Blair to give them the benefit of the doubtSo will this just be yet another post that gets blatently ignored that's trying to address a pretty important issue?
I think the twitch stream has done a lot to humanize the dev team quite a bit. They've gone from faceless villains to cool friendly guys thst you can hangout with and enjoy the game with.
This particular issue (or suite of issues) has not received so much as a peep from anyone at all. I do wonder if its a portion of the code that the team has little experience or direct relationship with and they only speak to things they work with directly. Of course I'm speculating but that could be a possible explanation. And if it is, I wish someone would at least acknowledge it.
Preiously, no threads about any problems were responded to. Well, occasionally a couple certain devs would drop in to criticize us in prickly, defensive, posts that I honestly agreed with most of the time but obviously made an already toxic environment go from a dagger fight to Nuclear Armageddon in about 5 net seconds flat.
Today we have a much better relationship with the devs.
Isn't that a result of the Nuclear Armageddon though? If a certain rabble rouser (now permabanned, which I still think is ridiculous since he is probably the biggest content creator that this game has and ever had) hadn't made said thread, do you really think we would have any kind of communication? I mean, it was brewing for a good 2-3 months after launch.
If only I had the leadership to rouse a good rabble. It would be a highly tactical affair with lots of pie and cake between assaults.
Don't put yourself down like that, you can do anything you put your mind to. You will be the rouser of rabble one day.

It's tough rousing a rabble of 1.I work alone.
Of course if I downgrade to an Xbone from my mighty peasant box I may clear a space for a trolling partner.
It probably won't be for DAMP though. ME4.
I am, the League of Shadows.
Just no League to speak of.
Matchmaking is all Courtneh's fault. I'll go multiple days without a single dashboard...play with Courtneh...2 dashboards in 3 games.

I wasn't hosting, just sayin..
You just bring the whole lobby down, has to be.
