I am seeing many new users in the PUG lobbies in PS3 as well as new users posting on the forum. Is it just because I lack history or are you seeing this as well in other platforms and here....

Dragonslayer brought back players who left, and gave us a new flux of people. During these days DAI had a special price sale of $30.

Recently Summer sales have kicked out as well. Also those great games of this year doesn't have a fun multiplayer as Inquisition. So people will come back to us once they get tired of them.

PS4 pool is so big that I see new names every time I play.
All the PS4 vets that left came back for dragon slayer.

I feel sorry for my fellow console peasants that are leaving en masse for ESO soon. I played ESO on PC since it came out. Console Peasants are gonna be hella disappointed in that game.

Edit: I quit ESO when it went F2P when in game purchases.

I was around a bit during the latter part of ME 3 support cycle but not much.

Dragonslayer brought me back onto BSN but I've run out of stuff to do again on MP so I'll be away until the next DLC most likely.

I have no people to play with anyway and it gets old pugging.

I think the expansion brought in a lot of new players for PC. But it isn't enough because it feels pretty dead when searching for perilous matches sometimes. Just more incentive to play witcher 3 instead of DAMP.

I played ESO during its initial beta.

For an authentic Bethesda experience I'll be waiting for Fallout 4.

In any case, how could following DAI and TW3 lead to anything but disappointment?

Nice try Zenimax OL, but no.

ESO during its initial Beta? You mean the entire time it's been on PC right?

I don't miss the days of upgraded Bat Swarm Vampire Dragon Knights that could literally tank and kill 100s of people in pvp continuously without stop. I know they fixed that eventually but still lol.

For people that think ESO is going to resemble playing Skyrim with your friends, I have the deepest sympathy. For people who think ESO is going to be a great MMO experience, turn back now or forever hold your peace.

All I've been hearing on PS4 in PUGs lately is how awesome ESO is going to be. I tried for a while to explain what ESO is really like to people but gave up in disgust relatively soon after.

For instance, once you complete your Factions area, the only was to progress further is to move on to doing another Factions area. And only people from your faction in that progression arc in that area are present. They simply reuse the other freaking Factions storyline for you. If you start in Faction 1, then progress to Faction 2, It's the exact same damn storyline as if you had started a new game character with Faction 2. How does that storyline make any sense at all? While a lot of new endgame content has been added and expansions of the base game to include stuff like jobs and jails (not present until six months after release) that only distracts.

Don't get me started on the kill xxxx and fetch xxxx quests that make up 90% of the missions.

ESO is not Skyrim with your friends.
ESO is a pure MMO experience, complete with all the bad things that brings. Oh, and very little of the good that can come from an MMO, because it is one of the worst designed MMO experiences I've ever had. They blended an ESO skin on an MMO. A badly made one, since they are best at building massive open world RPGs. The pairing of Elder Scrolls with playing online sounds like every gamer's dream on paper. Too bad the mutant chimera baby that came into being from that paper achieves neither of those things. You'd be better off reverse engineering a way to have a four man group of your friends play Skyrim together.

I will say it maybe because we are die hards on PS3 there is almost always perilous pug lobby up and people friend up quite easy. Guess we are just afraid that we can't take the account to the shiny new fangled consoles.

I see new names all the time on PS4 in the UK

I think a lot have finally completed SP and are trying MP out.

Off topic: If most people eventually quit DAIMP and there are only four PS4 players left. As long as I can connect to them....I will still be playing :) Hell I might even still solo if they ALL leave.

I've said a few times that I would never leave DAMP for any other game but ME4, however, a Bethesda title could change it.

PS4 Australia has certainly seen an increase of numbers new and old. The friends communities are quite strong and though you can't find a pug game very often you never finish solo.

Edit: I quit ESO when it went F2P when in game purchases.

The comedy is that it isn't F2P... Yet. I was in the closed beta for the game and had a lengthily discussion with a couple of ZOL devs about why I would not buy the game. At the time it was $60 + $15/mo. + $20 to play Imperial and not have to grind for years to get a horse. Cash grab much?

They invited me back for a free weekend when they launched Tamriel Unlimited, but by then they had set up the game to go F2P (it's not yet, but you can tell it's going that route). Why would I spend $60 for a game that I'd obviously about to go F2P? Also, the Imperial race is still locked behind a $20 paywall. Excuse me while I vomit.

Background: Bethesda and BioWare are hands-down my favorite studios, so when I saw Zenimax obviously just trying to cash in on one of the most prolific IPs for me, I was rightly a bit annoyed.

That and the game *still* looks to me like a blatant ripoff of Rift (obviously with better graphics). It's just as boring too.

Saw brand new players all last weekend on Routine and Threatening for PC. Honestly can't remember the last time I saw people with default character armor/skins and low-level weapons. Nice change of pace.

Dunno. Not a decision I have to concern myself with at present.

As for Fallout 4? No hype whatsoever for me.

Hopefully they decided to make a new engine rather than use a near 20 old engine. Hopefully they took a cue from New Vegas story wise too.

It'll not be playable for about 6 months after release anyway. Skyrim still doesn't ****ing work properly for me even with all the patching.

It'll have to be spectacular for me to pay attention to it. Trailers are politicians in video form.
