Got bored of having to sit through the entire ME2 prologue movie? Want to skip most of the scenes? Easy!

 

Just do the following:

 

1)Go to the Mass Effect 2 Folder (The one where you installed the game), that is probably located in: Computer-(C:)-Program Files (or X86)

 

2)Then open the Biogame Folder

 

3)Now, open the Movies Folder

 

4) Search for the files:

 load_f99.bik

 ME2_OPening_SunMid_INT.bik

 Opening_ENd_SeqFM.bik

 Opening_Seq_INT.bik

 Opening_End_Seq.bik

 ProNor_Pod2.bik

 ProNor_Shepard_Rebuilt.bik

 ProNorEscape.bik

 ProNorEscapeAsh.bik

 ProNorEscapeKaid.bik

 

And move them to another folder.

 

5)Start the game. The Intro will get waaaay shorter.

 

6)After waking up on Lazarus Station, in the same moment (To prevent any crashes, File corruption and etc) move those files back to the Movies Folder.

 

7)Enjoy the rest of the game

This can be quite useful.

 

It´s a shame that they won´t give us a section when we can try the character creator so we can pre-generate a code. Every time I need to create a new one I have to play the first segment and waste about what? 12 minutes?

Lol, so true. But now, it gets shortened to 3 minutes
