I also seen a movie that started like it was a for real mass effect movie. Mention of Reapers coming back and all. The date was even before ME1 I think? So who stole who's ideas? (That ME related thing was just a dream type thing at the start. The movie was about this girl that can see into the future somewhat so she can totally avoid everyone by seeing it. Her brother helped her escape with these mercenaries from space, with this guy reminding me of Han Solo kinda).

It has half-assed summer blockbuster script written all over it. Just studios masquerading it as a sci-fi movie as an excuse to do some nice visual effects.

Stealth had a really hot version of Jessica Biel in it and a phoned in version of a Jamie Foxx / Josh Lucas... ,,Is that what you meant?..cuz that movie sucked, except for Jessica Biel So basically...EDI is a recycled version of the failed AI that killed /Nuked Pakistan civilians for NO REASON..? ( It killed 250,000 people for no reason.)
Never watched it. You can spot a sub-par movie a mile away.
When EDI killed a lot of people, she was still a VI. On Luna. Where you shut her down. Then Cerberus thought it would be an awesome idea to stuff Reaper code into a murderous VI and upgrade her to an AI... and it was, until she got loose and started killing all their guys.

Stealth (the movie) is a paint-by-numbers would-be summer blockbuster about artificial intelligence gone wrong. It's like a crappy combination of Firefox (the old Clint Eastwood movie, not the web browser) and every Frankenstein-made-sci-fi film you've ever seen.
I actually found Jessica Biehl far more attractive in The Illusionist (with Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti), which is a far better movie. So go watch that instead.

Movie release was 2005. And that intro exactly like Mass Effect. Almost thought it was ME and I never knew it was made like they said they would. Then the movie went totally different and I was like "Good. No way Hollywood could do it justice anyway."

Oh yeah, Serenity for sure influenced Mass Effect. As you even got names like Shepard and Miranda. I'm watching it again because I didn't get a chance to finish it last time.
The enemy in that was the "Reavers". Nothing at all like "Reapers"!!!
