I do not know about you guys but with the Fallout 4 teaser trailer being released today, it seems like things are slowly but surely starting to lead up to E3. Now I do not expect EA to officially reveal ME4 before E3, but I can just feel the anticipation leading up to this even. I just have this feeling that the week of E3 would be dominated by
- Mass Effect 4 reveal trailer
- Mass Effect 4 "behind closed doors" demos and the eventual release of this information to the public after the embargo
- Mass Effect 4 sweeping the "E3 2015 Game of the Show" awards
- Massive blowout and coverage for Bioware/ME4 staff interviews
- Possible information on Mass Effect remastered trilogy
- The creation of the Mass Effect 4 forums
- The Mass Effect 4 taking off with dozens of speculation threads (Based off of story/location info released at E3), happy fans (Bioware has learned from their mistakes), angry fans (Bioware is officially dead), and a whole bunch of Bioware Mod 1/Bioware Mod 2/Bioware Mod 3 deleting and locking threads that seem to be a repeat of another thread that was created prior.
Man, I understand that DAI was big for Bioware last year but like I said in a previous thread, Mass Effect is the main dish and I believe that Bioware will definitely steal the show this year (did they last year?) and I believe Bioware will ride this Mass Effect 4 hype way all throughout the rest of the year from E3 to possibly ComicCon and definately PAX Prime/Gamescom. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your perspective), I will not be around to play in much of the post E3 hype because once E3 is over, I am going on a full ME4 media blackout until I get my hands on the game and beat it for the first time. I want to go into ME4 somewhat fresh and not have many location/character/plot details spoiled through some IGN interview or Game Informer cover story.
Either way, after months (and years?) of waiting, we are just almost there in terms of learning about Mass Effect 4. It is sort of like a quiet before the storm, the build up of anticipation getting ready to explode once the Mass Effect 4 trailer is revealed at the EA press conference
