I don't wanna say that there will be a lot of squeeeeeing around my house, but just imagine a teenage girl if Justin Beiber showed up.
Which is odd, because I'm a guy.
In his 40's.

Fixed that for you.XCOM 2,
Fallout 4and then Mass Effect 4.
Today I imagined watching the MS conference coming up when E3 begins and Casey Hudson enters the stage:
"Hello, I'm Hasey Cudso-- Casey Hudson *ahem!*
I'm the lead Creative Director for Microsoft Studios, and today I have brought my friends from a company that I know a lot of people love. I'm excited to announce, that Bioware's new gem-- game, Mass Effect: Pathfinder Initiative - developed in Bioware Montreal, will be launching, next spring, EXCLUSIVELY for Xbox One!"
People cheer but the internet goes batshit and sends PS4 and PC shaped cakes to Microsoft.

I don't know which would be worse, NME being an Xbox One exclusive or that name!

I don't think EA's dumb enough to go exclusive with MS again, after all the money they lost by having TItanfall skip PS4
I remember when ME first came out, and then a year later EA "bought" BioWare, then announced multiplatform for ME2.. People got pissed. But it was probably one of the best things you could have done for the franchise.
I just hope Krogans no longer roar like bears.

Im bored so here are some videos from Mass Effect at E06 in 2006

There was a rumor that MS tried and EA told them to beat it.
Same as usual
Honestly, I am fully expecting this if BioWare shows something. It will be calmer with people saying how disappointed they are if they don't show something.
That galaxy map from 0:46 to 1:25 was so much better than what we've got
So immersive!

They way they changed it in the final ME1 release just indicated how overwhelmed they got with their initial plans throughout the developement process...
They realized they set a too high quality mark at the start...
But BioWare nowadays is a far more experienced company, so for those dozens of worlds to explore they must include such robust galaxy map for the player.

I just noticed that Mass Effect from 2006 looks better than Fallout 4 from 2015. ![]()

Wow, the demoed content looks so much different from what eventually shipped. What is also funny that in this version, Garrus is a bare-face. Huh. I wonder what the story behind that would have been.
Shepard also looks totally different. And has a huge nose. ![]()
In this early version it seems that the main antogonists are actually the Geth.

No, it was always the Reapers. It is just that in the earlier versions of ME1, we were lead to believe that the Geth are the major threat until the very end when we find out about the Reapers.
In fact, I part of the ME/Bioware forums back in 2005/2006 and I remember when a developer accidentlly revealed that the Reapers are actually the villians with the Geth simply being pawns. From here, the surprise was ruined so Bioware just went ahead and revealed the Reapers earlier in the game (Initial conversation with Tali) instead of late in the game (Sovereign conversation on Virmire).

But did it even exist? I mean, as a working, functional galaxy map? It could be just a concept thing. I'd bet on that.
To me it was fully working. You can hear some beeps and bleeps on every step closer to the planet, and even a label changing (Travel to Land for button A).
Don't know why it did not ship. The last part was soooooo much immersive. Maybe it was found to be too slow? Or not clear enough?
Wasn't that galaxy map faked for their presentation? It never existed.
It was prolly simplified. My guess is that like all things in ME, it has gone through many iterations.

The good ol' days when people didn't have hateful opinions towards Casey. Compare that to the Bioware E3 teaser from last year and it just shows how bland the company has become.

I hope they don't go with that either lol, but that was what that logo said. Something, "Arkcon - Pathfinder Initiative" so whatever. I just figured I couldn't make Hasey Cudson call it Mass Effect 4 since Bioware's made it abundantly clear how illegal that is
It is also surprising to hear the planet they are on being Caleston (I hope I spelled that right). Upon seeing the surroundings, I initially thought it was Therum. Caleston sounds like one of those important locations where a lot of stuff happens. I recently read elsewhere on the boards that Caleston had a 50k-word script attached to it but the content was cut. Makes you wonder what else ended up on the cutting room floor. And, as the release of the new game approaches, which of the features they initially announce will never make it into the finished product. Man, this job has to be insane.

Caleston was initially going to be the world where you recruited Liara. When they cut nearly all the content due to development issues it was renamed Therum and turned into a Mako-thon instead.
They used cut assets for the BDtS DLC and apparently some concepts for ME2's Omega.
Man, I'm sure glad that they cut those barrels off the noses of armatures.
