In fact, I part of the ME/Bioware forums back in 2005/2006 and I remember when a developer accidentlly revealed that the Reapers are actually the villians with the Geth simply being pawns. From here, the surprise was ruined so Bioware just went ahead and revealed the Reapers earlier in the game (Initial conversation with Tali) instead of late in the game (Sovereign conversation on Virmire).

So that explains why the Council believes the voice recording about Saren, but doesn't believe it about the Reapers.

We can officially say that next week, E3 will take place and we can expect Bioware to take off the lid and give us some core Mass Effect 4 information!

I don't actually feel that excited, mostly because I know this will be a totally new story. It doesn't feel like waiting for the next installment of an ongoing one like the others did.

I'm more curious to find out about DAI DLC (I know it won't appear at E3) and what's up with the new IP (A new story too, but I'm anxious to see something besides ME or DA from Bioware).

That's not to say I don't want to learn more about ME:N! I would really like to confirm or disprove my theories about the game's premise.

That galaxy map from 0:46 to 1:25 was so much better than what we've got :( So immersive!

But also very clearly not an actual mechanic in that pre-alpha footage. I can't imagine what controlling the galaxy map with such floppy camera angles would be like. (probably a nightmare)

I'm very not-excited because of that leak pretty much making NME seem dead in the water to me. The plot just sounded extremely lame to me. I still think there are many ways they can subvert my expectations from here though.

Im bored so here are some videos from Mass Effect at E06 in 2006

So we were originally able to control other squad members directly? Very nice.

Yeah, there was an E3 demo (I think) as well, which showed Ilos and Casey Hudson kept switching between Shepard and Garrus. I wonder what happened with that and why it never came back in any of the sequels. Personally, I never really cared much, I only use the mechanic in DA is my PC dies and I need someone to revive her, but it is curious, is it not?

I think in a game like ME, it would take me out of the immersion if I was given the opportunity to switch through characters.  If I am supposed to be Shepard and it's his story, I shouldn't be able to swap to Garrus and play as him through out the entirety of the mission.

Bioware stealing the show from Bethesda? No chance, the interest for Mass effect will be nowhere near Fallout

Why does everyone think Fallout 4 will win best in show?  I like Fallout series, but the trailer didn't look that impressive... Mass Effect (or any other major RPG) can totally steal the show.

Yeah probably not even though the ME Trilogy is a lot better than Fallout (in my opinion)

The latter is just way more popular (sadly)

It won't still the show. Probably because Fallout 4 will be much closer to release and have much more things to show than ME:Next.

Mass Effect won't 'steal the show' unless:

-Fallout blew it all with a teaser trailer and will have not much left to get into in E3 (unlikely)

-Mass Effect goes nuts with info and hype machine skyrockets (possible but for all we know, that could be for E3 2016 instead)

Fallout is the big hit among all my local friends too. I just think it's a more popular franchise, right next to Skyrim and stuff.

First off it is good that Fallout 4, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, as well as Mass Effect 4 would be competing against each other at E3 this year. As WRPG fans, this is only good for us. Despite what you may think about DAI, you have to understand that DAI had not competition in the WRPG department and at release, many reviewers were lenient on DAI for the fact that it was the first current gen WRPG out of the gate. With games like Fallout 4, Deus Ex, and Mass Effect, the games would be viewed in a more stricter way.

As for who I think will win E3 Best RPG, I will have to say Mass Effect 4. Fallout 4 might be the more popular game, but Mass Effect 4 just has a level of secrecy that is ready to explode at the EA press conference. People will be blown away by the graphics, character dialog, and gameplay features that are announced. With Fallout 4 and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, I believe that these two games will just be "prettier" versions of Fallout 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution whereas Mass Effect would almost feel like a new game, TOTALLY different from what we saw with Mass Effect 3. This alone will give ME4 the edge and will steal the show in terms of excitement.

ME4 won't be stealing anything unless it has some kind of a demo.

There will be a demo, whether it is public or behind closed doors. Either way, the media will have access to it and they will declare if it stole the show or not.

If it's behind closed doors no one will care and the larger gaming audience won't even consider the game as show-stealer. No matter how "faked" a demo could be (Watch Dogs debut for example), something that resembles gameplay gotta be shown to the public for anyone to register the game outside CGI announcement trailer.

I wonder if they'll have an opening like last E3 for DAI when the woman played the cello

If it was Obsidian I would be really excited for Fallout 4. Bethesda? Nah, NEXT!

fallout 4 uncharted TLG or Halo5 will win best in show I say this as someone who will not play any of these games (maybe fallout 4 but probobly not at release) ME could only be topped on a personal level if they had

1. megaman legends 3

2. Dark cloud 3

3. a new .hack game (yeah yeah but i love them to death)

4.pokemon on wii-u

5. or KH3 relesing in 2015

By that i mean me will be my personal pick

True, you do have a point. With that being said, perhaps Bioware will invite media behind closed doors to see a premium version of their gameplay demo of the game. This demo could be as long as 30 min and feature more intimate and detailed information about the game/demo that will not be made public immediately until after an embargo. In the meantime, Bioware could have a "for general public" version of the behind closed doors demo, a sort of water-down version that gives us a glimspe of the game without revealing the core details which will be revealed by the media a few weeks later after embargo.

Perhaps these two videos could be similar to what we, the fans could get from Bioware next week.

It was made with love, so many easter eggs in the trailer to Fallout 1,2 and 3. That and that they showed a belieavable trailer, a breath of fresh air after Watchdogs and the like.
