What DAI does better than TW3..

The last time there was too much of this 'be like this game' (it was be more like 'skyrim' it affected DAI and we got less story content and bigger maps instead.
I really don't want to see any strong witcher influence in DA4. I wNt to play Dragon Age, and not dragonkyrim or dragon witcher.

Okay, the point of this thread was to focus on what DAI does better, to help balance out the 'witcher be like the witcher' threads.

How about stronger environmental storytelling, far better side quests, and a better plot?
That is what Bioware needs to learn from The Witcher without being The Witcher.

Seen the marketing for their games lately?
Hell, I actually like the ME3 ending, but that doesn't mean that it was what Bioware said it is what the ending would be before launch.
Bioware routinely over promises and not fulfills them.
How about sticking with it?
And no, later in the game, it isn't Assassin's Creed. Also play on harder difficulties and you will find the preparation is as important as the fight itself.
I stuck with DAI's even worse controls.
And I quote:
Change sucks for people who don't want it....too bad, that's history, that's life....

So far from the requested features that are popular amongst posters who played and enjoyed tw3, they all agreed on elements posts that bioware easily is capable of doing so while keeping dragon age, dragon age. Relax

Txgoldrush this is a comparison thread where people list what they liked from dai over tw3. If you didn't like.. Anything.. From dai over tw3 why post? If a mod locks this thread I'm going to ask them to unlock and just hide your points / issue a warning as there is a tw3 thread that has many pages already on feedback. Let the people who enjoyed dai list their comparisons without the flame bait. We asked them to do the same and it mostly.. Happened.. In the tw3 post. Do so for them.
Get off your moral high horse.
If you do not like what I have to say, than ignore it, instead of trying to be forum police golden boy. I simply put, do not care about what you think the thread should be, and I have every right to say that what DAI does better, doesn't matter in the grand scope of things.

Your attitude is just so adorable right now hah.
I will agree with a previous post. It didn't feel focused on, it felt kind of rushed, and it was certainly, for me, not even close to a game of the year kind of game. Others will disagree naturally. If you were a little less aggressive in your posts, I suspect quite a few people wouldn't nearly be quick to comment on your posts.

I am aggressive because people want to stick their head in sand.
Whether you like DAI more or less doesn't matter against the fact, the OBJECTIVE fact, that The Witcher 3 was far better received than Dragon Age Inquisition.

It may have been better received for me, DAI, if it was a lot more show and not tell. What I hope for is that the small things next game actually gets worked on. Even small things like ambiance and wild life, actual wild life that varies, changes. An actual villain that does villainy things.. I have a list of things.
TW3 for me did a lot of things right and I hope BW takes notice and improves upon their next attempt. From what I get from a lot of the posters here, they wouldn't like to see the major things that I liked implemented. So I'll settle for minor improvements like meaningful sidequests, ambiance, armor design (yes I said it, armor sucks in DAI for me), and various little things like NON stagnant npc locations.

So would you say it's a bad thing to still like Sleeping Dogs equally or more than Grand Theft Auto 5?

No, but the fact is though that GTA is the bar. And it does show that Sleeping Dogs is under it, despite its unique flavor.

I think that's reasonable, it's certainly how i'm approaching DAI vs. TW3 despite enjoying both (for their own reasons).

Well, this confirms my stance that I'm sick of all TW3/DA: I comparison threads.
Although I do agree that there are a bunch of things that DA: I does better.
Man, I was starting to hate both games until I learned how to use the ignore function for the first time.

It's pretty clear that "open world" is the direction rpgs are going in, and while the Witcher pulled it off quite well, BW needs to drop it and go back to what it's good at -- which is storytelling and choice.
Thing is, you can have a linear environment without repetitiveness; I.e DA2.
So yeah my suggestion is get off the open world bandwagon, use linear environments and focus more attention and detail on story, characters and choice.

I kinda disagree on that, I actually like that Bioware made the zones more open instead of linear
And the bolded part isn't mutually exclusive, it's all about finding a balance

Fair enough.
I just don't think it works for DA but that's just my opinion.
I don't mind linear or limited environments personally, I mean with the first two games we had that and it wasn't a problem. For me anyway.
I just think certain devs are good at creating certain games, I.e Bethesda is good with open world and but terrible at story.
BW's key strengths are storytelling and character, as well as choice. All I'm saying is, work and capitalise on what you're good at.

Sleeping Dogs is GTA5 with organized crime that largely replaces guns with martial arts. I recall it having some very satisfying finishing moves and a somewhat grim main story line.
