He's under a lot of pressure. I don't read his books (yet) but from my impression the networks and what not are pressuring him to help out with the show as much as he can.

Not an expert but I know writing takes some time. Good writing that is.

He was in Hamburg a few days ago. He seemed pretty relaxed, but people were told in advance that no one was to ask about the release date of his next book.

He also said the city inspired him. There was this main character he had planned to kill from the start but never came up with the "how". Now he knew. Bet everyone in the room was proud. :D

He's not called "Evil Santa" and "Fiction's Most Notorious Serial Killer" for nothing :D

I don't plan to watch the series, instead I'll get audio tapes or cds and listen if they are available.

The white walkers are too few it seems would like more of that instead of the politics from what I'm seeing on wiki

That bit is actually a bit undeserved. He has killed Ned, Catelyn, and possibly Jon Snow. That's it for the main characters. Raymond Feist, Terry Brooks, and a bunch of other writers kill way more main characters and they get a free pass.

I don't mind spoilers myself, but I hope those aren't recent episodes XD

It's more a way he does it rather than a number he kills.

Price tag maybe?

If EA would allow me to refund DAI that will be great!

This is a weird one. People on here are always calling for more "realistic" and "practical" armor in their games. TW3 actually has realistic, practical armor. The designs taken straight out of our own history, and nearly everyone hates them except for the Witcher gear (which just so happens to be the least realistic armor in the game.) So it turns out that people want fantastical armor after all.

Yeah, I don't use the witcher gear. I prefer all the colourful gambeson variants =).

Everyone uses witcher gear because its the only consistently good armour for a bunch of levels at a time, not because of its design. Everything else you pick up, craft, or get rewarded is **** in comparison. This is the thing i would say DAI does better over witcher, its crafting, you can always make something that is better than what you have, the tedium to get the materials is just as boring (though feck the ping system) and they look colourfully shite a lot of the time. Crafting might as well not exist in the witcher other than for the sets.

I'm not one of those people. I loved all the armours from TW2. I wish they had kept some of those designs. I also loves the designs from DA2 and the like.

I think there's room in a decent RPG for both. My preference is for practical, plausible armor designs that additionally make sense for the character in question, but sometimes I still think it's fun to, for example, turn Skyrim into a weird, Frazetta inspired Hyborian mess, with loincloths and fur bikinis akimbo. Options are key (or, failing options, mod support).

Playing through the series in earnest right now, in preparation for finally hitting TW3 (eventually), and I'm just hitting TW2. The art and armor design in TW2 is killer. I've always thought that, even before I had any interest in playing the games, but this brings it home.

All this GoT talk made me curious enough to look up what the heck a White Walker is. I think I might give GoT a try afterall.

I would read the books, honestly. In my (certainly unpopular) opinion, the show doesn't really compare. Granted, I only ever made it about halfway through the first season, but I found that the books are a lot richer.

The first three especially are fantastic. Fourth and fifth are messy, in my view, but whatever comes next could redeem them. If he ever finishes it.

You can play as a female protagonist, through the entire game.
More female friendly and inclusive overall.
Superior import system.
Superior romance system..
And what does everyone else think DAI does better?

More female friendly and more inclusive, definetly.

The enviroments look more lush and in my opnion more beautiful, diverse.

Character creation and character progression.Geralt is a very static character with little to none character progression. It is a reason i stopped playing TW3.Combat in dragon age is more rewarding and fun but TW3 has a better story and presentation.

It all depends in what a re you looking, BIOWARE uses a story telling technique based ond self projection, pretty common in popular animes like SAO,they give you the chance to self project yourselve in a character set for that, the inquisitor is an empty character so he can acomodate to the "custom" choices of the character creation, like the protagonist of SAO ho is empty OP badass character so the audience can project himself in him, in the end is all an illusion.

I really dont like that tipe of storyes or characters, at my second playthrougth of DA:I i find myself struggling to end it becaouse of this, no mather my character or "custom" changes it is the same character ho gets the same results over and over again.

Any way, i am not saying that i dont like DA:i, i enjoyed a lot, and i think is the rigth star from new things to come compared to the horrible DA2.

DA has Morrigan and Morrigan > Yen > Triss

*Waits for Steel's response* :P

I'd go with Yen > Morrigan > Triss personally.

Yen and Morrigan are extremely similar characters though, and both have great voice acting, so Yen only wins by one lilac and gooseberries scented hair.  B)

Yep, if you're a female, which is basically related to all the reasons you listed.

BTW, I chose Cass, the best character IMO. Lucky little ol' me.

As a mother, Yenna wins hands down.

The problem with DAI is the world is bland and empty. The wilderness is nearly all we see, and that wilderness has nothing noteworthy in it. A burning house here, a note on the ground there, the side quests are 1/100th of the care in the witcher or even in past bioware games.

It's just bland. Most of the maps don't even tie into the story. Most npcs are a single line and aren't memorable in the slightest.

The witcher is more "dragon age-y" then inquisition could ever be. All it needs is races, which again, are so watered down without origins that they don't inspire you to replay.

Perhaps this is what some may see, but not myself. I enjoyed the variety of environs, and the ability to scout areas and bypass encounters if desired. NPC's such as Scout Harding, Mother Giselle, Sutherland, Dagna, Bianca, and others remain memorable. And I have played 1000+ hrs, so replay value is also there.

Still choose not to play TW3; no Pause amongst other concerns.
