This is why damp needs a dog character. Or... playable ham.
Think about it. There's already a game where you can play a piece of bread and that's significantly farther away from sentience than spoiled meat.

People going nuts over this game is ok, but they seem very silly when they suddenly act like all other games don't matter and feel like other people should know that they feel like other games no longer matter in the most random of places. It's not even out, no gameplay videos, no idea how good it is, only a video that could pass as a mod for Fallout New Vegas PC. A modded out Fallout 3 probably even looks better, but that's not fair. Skyrim modded looks ridiculous still.

 

Note: I've been seeing so much, "Fallout 4 exists, this game is now invalid." talk in the past 24 hours. I just find it a bit crazy and this is my first time actually commenting on the situation. Sorry.

I hear yah. I am excited for it too. However, I won't quit playing DAMP for it. This is similar to how things went down with BloodBorne and the Witcher 3. Everyone goes nuts for the new release, the idea of exploring the unknown. I remember how back in the day Borderlands 2 was going to kill ME3MP. They have some impact, but I have a feeling those of us who have stuck it out since launch will still be here.

I do think it looks promising, even if the graphical improvements over Fallout 3 have not been extreme. I love the universe, the gameplay possibilities, etc.

It seems odd to me that we want to express some type of binary opposition between game titles and whether they are "worth" playing, etc. The developers don't seem to make this type of competitive distinction. They describe on their Twitter feeds the various titles they are playing often from studios with "rival" parent companies or other's within their own genre.

Just enjoy the games you have, the rest is just gravy.

Me, I am excited for the TableTop RPG show to start next week. That is in the immediate future and looks awesome.

BTW, BioWare and I are a "thing" now... I hate being the rebound guy, but at my age I will take what I can get!

Let's wait until we know for sure that Fallout 4 doesn't have a pretentious, angsty, overbearing storyline as some supposed leakers have suggested before we put BioWare in the doghouse.

So when a game is released by another company it has to be used as an attack against Bioware.... huh.

 

 

Though I do find it funny that you use a game from a company that is notorious for releasing very buggy games where the community has to make the patches to make the game stable the majority of the time (Skyrim, F3, and Oblivion still have lots of bugs that Bethseda doesn't seem interested in fixing) and are also trying to enforce a paid modding system where the company gets the majority of the money from another persons work.

I'll admit, the only game that has a chance to pull me from DA, is Elder Scrolls Online. Rest be damned... Except Gojira and Metal Gear V.
