Yeah I know it has only been half a year and we have yet to see what is coming at E3 but lets not kid ourselves, it will be a pretty damn good year for video games if something manages to top the Witcher 3. Phantom Pain might have a chance, we will have to wait and see. There are also rumors that Fallout 4 could be released this year as well but even if it is the only thing truly noteworthy about the Bethesda Elder Scrolls/Fallout games is their size which Witcher 3 matches.

 

Bioware must be thanking their lucky stars they did not release Inquisition in 2015, they got lucky last year winning an award I believe they did not truly deserve even in a year as lackluster as it was for gaming, but this year looks like there is going to be some tough games to beat.

If something beats it for me this year I'll eat my hat. It's probably the first game in ages to live up to all my expectations.

It'll probably going o be TW3 to be honest, as much as I like MGS it's been somewhat off the rails for a bit now (not that it wasn't always kind of off the rails).

But being off the rails is part of the series charm, it is kind of like the Japanese version of GI Joe.

If Inquisition came out this year I think it'd do well enough. Remember it also would have meant they'd have gotten another half a year of development time on it.

 

Although for me right now my GOTY is The Witcher 3. Since we're only in June, that can easily change before the end of the year.

For now, Witcher 3. Imo, the main story honestly wasn't that great but overall the game is fantastic. If Fallout 4 comes out this year then I'll most likely change my vote for that, maybe.

Yeah but there is off the rails in a good way and off the rails in a not as exciting kind of way.

 

To be honest MGS4 just felt really tired..... like listless or something... didn't feel quite as exciting or invested as the other MGSs.

Life is Strange or Bloodborne are honestly the most fun I've had with new games of the year so far as I usually find myself playing only old titles as of late.

But we are only halfway through the year so anything can change.

Having played Bloodborne, I'd vote for it. The other three games that are most likely to get a vote from me (I think I'll probably love them just like I loved the previous games in each series) are Batman: Arkham Knight, Persona 5, and XCOM 2.

I'd like to imagine it would be Yandere Simulator, but sadly, that probably isn't going to launch before 2016. Hell, the guy has been working on it for a year, and he says it's 6% complete.
