All right...

Like:
- character creator, much better then in previous games
- companions, especially Cass, Solas and Dorian
- beautiful graphics, beautiful environments
- tavern songs...
- playable races

I can't think of anything else, and it makes me sad :(

Dislike:
- HAIR
- Looks of some charaters, non-humans all look kind of weird... Solas in particular. I mean, I like his character, and his is the only romance I finished, because I think it is most connected to the plot, but damn he is ugly :(
- Main story is too short, and not very exciting. The most interesting moment happens after credits   Main villain is a joke. Ending is a joke.
- Quests, those fetch quests. No decisions, no choices. Boring.
- Combat, no tactics, no ability points, simplified talents and spells, stupid AI of companions, still too easy and boring on nigtmare difficulty.
- Main character is very bland, roleplay is almost non-existant. Okay, I can't be evil, but let me be mean or rude at least!
-Val Royeaux whaaat? That was it? I had instant DA2 flasbacks, and not good ones.
-Those damn elven bodies and their broken arms!!! Will this ever be fixed?

Positive:

-Main storyline is fun and engaging.

-Companions are mostly interesting.

-Interaction between the characters happen often, at least in my game, and I often find the banter humorous.

-Race selection is a feature I appreciate a lot. That was one of the things I missed in DA2.

-Most of the areas look gorgeous, and there are some really beautiful waterfalls and lakes in-game. I really love waterfalls.

-Exploration was mostly enjoyable. It could be a chore at times, but i'm glad they tried. It was nice to see something different in a bioware game, even if it wasn't perfect.

-The soundtrack was good, and I loved some of the bard songs.

-DAI could at times be reminiscent of old bioware games like Kotor, in feeling and atmosphere. That's a positive thing, if you ask me.

Negative:

-Underwhelming ending.

-Game freezing, lots and lots of freezing, although that was partially fixed after patching. The freezing is far from as bad anymore.

-Way too much collectibles.

-The beginning can be a pain sometimes. Trudging through the Hinterlands on the first playthrough almost made me stop playing the game. That's not to say it was all bad, the Hinterlands had some fun sections, but it could be a bit too much of the opposite at times. Emerald Graves, and to an extent, the Western Approach, got the same problem in my opinion.

Things I liked:

The Quizquisition, this guy needs to come back in the sequels.

Graphics, especially in places like the Storm Coast and Fallow Mire. I just really think the rain and water looks pretty.

The elven lore.

Being able to play an elf. Yeah, I'm an elf favored by the Maker, suck on that Chantry. :P

Being an elf and getting a high court approval, basically being seen as inferior by the other nobles and yet beating them at their own game on your first try. Suck on that Orlais! Also, putting an elf in power. :P

Well written companions, like Cassandra.

Varric's wicked grace scene, it made my quizz feel apart of the inner circle.

Being able to define you're background a bit through dialogue.

The knowledge perks, it makes the quizz sound more knowledgeable and intelligent.

That my inquisitor can expand on her beliefs when it comes to faith and even lose it as the game progresses.

Here lies the abyss, my fav main quest. Plus, showing the siege on Adamant Fortress.

Creepy atmosphere during the Crestwood mission and around Fallow Mire.

The little things you find, such as the blood soaked teddy bear in the Exalted Plains.

The Judgments, that Avvar chief and his flying goats.

You can overhear other people gossip.

You can see your soldiers and allies around Skyhold. The little things count.

My elf got to see a racist priestess get punched in the face by a templar, my warden would have killed to see that.

Things I dislike:

The mounts, really useless.

That you can't really have a debate with your companions that doesn't end up one sided, such as with Vivienne.

You can't kick Vivienne out during the furniture bit. Seriously... You are the Inquisitor right? You are suppose to be the leader of this organization, right?

No consequences for Leliana going against your orders. Seriously Bioware? Aren't you suppose to be the boss of these people, aren't you suppose to have authority over them? If I can't fire Leliana at least let me and her have an argument that shows why I can't, such as her being to valuable or something. I can understand that. But why does Vivienne get a pass too? In the scope of things she's not important and I'm suppose to be her boss. Really, these scenes just make you wonder how much power the inquisitor has anyway if the companions can walk all over them with no repercussions. I mean in terms of interaction with companions, the warden, a random Gray Warden, seems to have more authority or least commands more respect then the head of an organization. And since the inquisitor does have power, these scenes illustrate them being a weak leader. Something that the warden was never portrayed as. This just ...

You can at least kick out Sera but still.

Temple of Mythal, playing as a elf you know what's wrong with this entire plot point. I know its a bug but still.

Speaking of bugs, this may be just me, but my game freezes up at random times while exploring Skyhold so I have to constantly save every few minutes.

The graphics, once again this may be just my problem but some of the graphics look wonky on the companions.

The combat system. Compared to DA:O, DA:I combat system sucks. What if I have an arsenal full of fire and lightening spells but the thing I'm fighting is resistant to them, but weak to ice magic. I have ice magic, but I removed it from my arsenal to make room for the other spells and now I can't use it because I'm in a middle of a battle. Also, they took my cone of cold! :crying:

After Haven, you don't really have much to expand your quizz's personality, which makes it seem like they lack a personality. You can only really expand it a little in the judgments, you're character's interaction with the companions ( and in cases like with Iron Lady, that can destroy the RP) and the main plot points. But those are far in between. Where as in DA:O you had interactions with npcs and side quests, such the Dwarf and her baby side quest in Dust Town, by how the warden handles that or not can reveal a part of who they are. We don't have that in DA:I, we only have fetch quest which reveals nothing and since they make up a huge a part of the game we lose connection with the quizz. I think they meant the war missions to be a substitute for this, such as showing your quizz is ruthless by getting a bard's tongue removed as punishment for bad mouthing you. However, this feels empty compared to if the quizz does this him/herself. It would have also been nice to have a bit more jerk dialogue, such as coldly telling Leliana to get over the death of her mentor during her break down in Haven, and punching Solas. I would have loved for my  elf to have a least a few racist statements.

Val Royeaux, you are a disappointment. I would loved for my elf quizz to see your alienage and get some cool side quests, but you offer me nothing.

I wish the Inquisitor's personality could have gone to further extremes...like paragon/renegade Shep or to a lesser extent like Hawke.

So many things to love about the game: environment, well developed characters (sans Inquisitor to an extent), great choices with NPCs, fun romances, great action, do as much or as little as you want in any area, good plot line development, rich characters, and a bunch of really well-written dialogue.

I miss my PC getting to go for a drink, hit the brothel, something for her to let down her hair (super minor).

I'm plagued by a romance bug I picked up, that has rendered one mage useless for certain unlocks...makes me sad...I ended up having cut scenes for more than one romance, and none developed properly.

I like the game a lot. A lot of positives and Bioware have done great.  Some minor annoyances which I will list:

- Awkward combat positioning.  Sometimes its just a challenge to get positioned correctly, seems clunky.

- Dialogue cut outs and odd camera positions during certain conversations.

- Inability to compare weapons when crafting.

- Tries to show "time" and gradual build up, but also fails at it. Walking to the Black Emporium and back three times in a row from Skyhold is quite the trek and the game doesnt convey this really. Then again maybe it shouldn't but I cant help but want to plan my journeys.

- Thought I had a previous savegame in the Keep. Took about 14 hours before I realised it bugged on me and I was playing the default import. Frustrating but to late to start again and game should have made it clearer what was being imported rather then just a "success" text box.

Sure I will throw my two cents in as well. Or twenty. Proceed at own peril.

Likes:

- character creation - OH WOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS

- the main character - I know some around here do not care for the Inquisitor. That is not my case. The voice selection at the beginning was GENIUS (I have nothing against Alix, I love all videos she is in and she seems like a wonderful person, but seeing as I have played Mass Effect so much it has become my life now, all I can think of when I hear her voice is Specialist Traynor and that sort of stuff is really tough to get over. Also I thought the female American VO (Summerlee?) was frickin phenomenal)

- voice acting - I suppose this is a staple for BioWare but still

- characters - as we have come to expect from this company. BioWare has never let me done in this respect and I think they may have outdone themselves this time around. With one notable exception. Aherm.

- the visuals - THIS GAME IS SO PRETTY HOW IS THIS GAME SO PRETTY HNNGH

- the music -  awesome

- companions - awesome

- the dragons - YES WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE

- the crafting system - I almost invariably skip any and all crafting, with only two exceptions up to date. The first one is World of Warcraft. The second is this. Crafting is really, really, REALLY well done

- the judgments - an arbitrator BEARS a heavy burden.

- dialogue - I mean, this is a BioWare game. Still. Stuff like that needs to be mentioned

- combat - THE COMBAT ROLL YOU GUYS. How is it that every time BioWare adds the combat roll to their roster of player abilities, it makes the action so. damn. fun. EVERY FUTURE GAME OF THEIRS NEEDS COMBAT ROLL

- exploration - I am a fan of exploration. This is, however, without any prejudice to the below

- some of the side quests were really fun. Fallow Mire, Crestwood and Emprise du Lion were wonderful. Especially the last one - the increasingly panicked notes found in the Red Templar camps I was slowly taking over always made me cackle. I mean, chuckle. Also, really nice build-up of tension, character and story development, as well as giving you sense of your own growing power and menace. This too, however, is without any prejudice to the below

- story progression (note - NOT story length) - really loved the transition from Haven to Skyhold and the associated (also character) development. This was wonderful. Without prejudice to the below.

Dislikes:

-  I find your lack of cinematic dialogue disturbing

- villain has zero charisma and intimidation points. I mean, he was supposed to be one of the original magisters - THERE WAS SO MUCH YOU COULD EXPLORE WITH HIM. So much wasted potential. Cory does not make me scared, he makes me sad. But its okay now. He has moved on to that big, lovely farm in the sky where all villains run around and play happy and appreciated.

- short story campaign. You are BioWare. My reaction when the final mission came was: "WTF IS THAT IT?! ARE YOU SERIOUS WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN"

- the main character needs more solid background

- the grind. THE GRIND. THE GRIIIIIIND. There was a reason why I quit playing WoW. When the hundred thousandth counter popped up in the upper right corner (I think it was the soldier letters in the Exalted Plains), I was this close to hurling the controller at the TV. You cannot see it because I am, in fact, merely typing this but I am showing this teeny tiny pinch right now. I was THIS. CLOSE. But that would break my controller. And my TV. I am attached to both of those things, so I did not.

- Vivienne. SHE IS NOT A NICE PERSON.

- Have I mentioned how much I hate the grind? BECAUSE I REALLY HATE THE EFFING GRIND. WHY ARE THE SHARDS A THING THAT EXISTS. WHY ARE HALLA STATUES. WHY.

- the insufficient elaboration upon the subject of WHY WOULD ANYONE THINK THE GRIND WAS A GOOD IDEA. POINTLESS FETCH QUESTS A STORY DO NOT EQUATE. THE GRIND SHOULD BE DEAD

- Vivienne.

About grind, collectibles and fetch-quests:

Remember DA II. The main point of criticism was the shortness of the game of ~30 hours, compared to DA:O, in which I was at

80 hours before I entered Denerim for the first time. During these 80 hours I just made the Dalish stuff, Shale and the Wardens Stronghold.

In my opinion they wanted to generate time sinks, which is admittedly better than to release another 30-hours short story, but time sinks tend to be boring...

And on topic

I like most of it. Companions, banter, CC and I like how the party starts with a bang. The main story chapters!

Val Royeaux and the ending is on the weaker side. Caer Oswin seem to trigger to late in the game since

Spoiler
The main story could do well with 1 or 2 chapters more. Most of the zones do tie in with the main story except for maybe Exalted plains, Emerald graves and the Hissing wastes. At least the Hissing wastes

Likes:

Character creation (except for the hair)
Weapons/Armor crafting
Story towards end of the game
Multiplayer (I like this A LOT)
Varric
Having a variety of romance options (though I thought the cut scenes were cheesy and the animation laughably awkward)
The ability to refuse religion/disagree with interpretation
The female "American"voice actor--very good
Some of the powers are pretty awesome. I have the most fun using them in mp.

Dislikes (here I go):

Terrible draw distance/horrible texture pop in/main character temporary freezes/system freezes, etc. While I am playing on a ps3, the quality difference is striking compared to gta5, a game that came out in 2013.
No gambits? Come on, Bioware. I like being able to "program" behaviors based on certain conditions being met.
No power wheel. So I can't use more than 8 powers.
Lack of potions/having limited regular potions and limited to one special per character.
No healing spells (although heal on kill helps to make up for this, but not having it in the beginning of the game, combined with the lack of potions and terrible equipment makes for a terrible grind at higher levels. I visit camp often. This is a time waster).
Companions. won't. stay. put. Rrrrwwaaarrrr!
Am I the only one who misses injuries? Probably.
Loot animation and picking up thousands of things.
The end fight.
Load times
Horses. Good idea, not practical. You are heavily encouraged to farm--you can't do that while on a horse. Why can't I have my minions harvest for me (more than a handful at a time on a timer)? I'm the Inquisitor, ffs. Also, I shouldn't have to pay for basic herbs. Again, Inquisitor.
Fetch quests. I liked them in Skyrim---I don't like them in da
Open world exploration. Skyrim did it right. DA feels empty in comparison. DA is good with story, it should stick with that. I love having big games, but much of inquisition felt like filler. This makes me nervous for mass effect: andromeda.
Multiplayer chests and loot system. Sure, I was one of those lucky fools who pulled a Sulevin within 2 weeks of playing and that's awesome and all, but there's no sense of progression. It's random. I'm still laughing because mp players are now PRAISING mass effect's loot system, whereas before it was nothing but complaints about how horrible the system was. Now that something worse has come along, suddenly mass effect loot is genius Lol! Class chests are a good idea, but you have to have been playing the game long enough to make any use out of them. By the time you've opened enough chests to be in the highest tier of chance for getting the good stuff, you probably already have most of the good stuff. I still need Caliban and Punched by the Maker and Blade of Red Birth and a few other things. Oh, well. Can't cry too much because I still have lots of awesome stuff.

The visuals - playing on PC at full HD with all options set to Ultra or Fadetouched makes it a spectacularly beautiful game

The companions - while my favourite DA companion ever is Isabella, the group in Inquisition is fantastic (only real issue is that you end up leaving so many of them behind once you find a party that works for you in any given playthrough).

Crafting (and the addition of tinting)

Exploration - didn't really dive into this in my first two playthroughs but my current Inquisitor is constantly snooping around new areas.

Return of playable races

Two voices options per gender (as mentioned above, the American VAs are very good).

Dislikes:

8 ability slots - it's not a huge deal, but I'd really prefer the Origins/DA2 way of simply extending your UI bar across the bottom of the screen.

No attribute assignment - the change to items (including weapons) affecting attributes is interesting, but for me - I preferred the previous two entries in the series way of handling this.

The horse - I don't dislike it, per se, but feel it didn't really add any value once you had camps established in regions.

The final battle against Corypheus

Um....the hair (yes, I'm that vain).

The "tactics" system - I can (reluctantly) get behind a proposal to simplify tactics if they work.  But, for me, at least, they didn't - with particular frustration caused by the Hold command.

Lack of party banter firing instances (although for me recent patches have greatly improved this).

The Power - again, an interesting idea, but maybe could have done with a bit more iteration in the design stage.  By the time you reach Skyhold, Power is almost irrelevant and Influence becomes far more sought after.

The Undecided:

Main story - it was good, but I (and this is VERY much a YMMV) at the end of Origins I sat back and had to take a breath, you know "wow, I've done it".  I didn't get that from Inquisition, but I'm glad some have.

Conversations; 'cinematic' vs 'detached cam' - I go back and forth on this.  Presumably the cinematic conversations add a cost in terms of resources so who knows what would have to be left out if there were more of these but today, I feel like there could maybe have been a bit more of them.  Who knows how I'll feel about this one tomorrow, though.

"Fetch Quests" - probably a strange thing to see in an undecided category, but I feel they have a place and serve a purpose.  You choose if you want to do them and they give you an excuse to go out into that beautiful big world.  I'd just like more of a reason to choose to do them.
