Just about everything
Dislikes
Some of the terrain being a bit wonky
Mounts being useless transportation wise in some places.Example would be Storm Coast.Maps could be based around mounts a bit more.
Suggestions
Make some urban environments for us to explore. Not a lot but a few.

Likes;
- Dialogue. Both party banter and individual.
- NPCs background.
- Larger zones to explore.
- Corypheus.
- Mounts. Purely for the idea of them. And the hope they will be useful in future Dragon Age games.
- Crafting.
- Romances. Far more in-depth than the last two games.
- LOVE how they re-introduced past NPCs from the last two games.
Dislikes;
- Lack of skills compared to DA:O
- PC feels like a wussy when confronting Corypheus
- Lack of Elf Inquisitor's use of the Elven language.
- Melee combat animations look and feel choppy. But it isn't terrible.
- Patches and Updates. I know they are needed but I do not like waiting to play my game.

I finally got around to finishing (post story) all the stuff I missed. So I can have an opinion now.
Like:
- The Game until In Your Heart Shall Burn/Arrival at Skyhold
- Nightmare
- What Pride Had Wrought/Eluvians
- Dragon battles
- The Companions
- The Advisors
- The Aesthetics / Environment Design
- Specializations changing gameplay a lot
- The overall plot was engaging
- The cliffhanger
- Skyhold, more or less.
Dislike:
- The War Table. Too much text. Show don't tell. RT timer mechanics are not something you should see in a non app pay to play game. It also pulled you away from exploring/questing too much. Honestly power should have been the resource you spend here, not time. Then you would have felt the need to do things in the World and felt like it had meaning.
- Resources (gold being inflated, crafting materials being a hassle, power being meaningless and non usable outside the main quest.)
- Crafting being more important/interesting than dropped loot. There should still be good discoverables.
- Gimicky collectables. The Forbidden Oasis could have unlocked juicy lore. Mosaics could have unlocked schematics... etc.
- Spells were bland and elemental focused. Frost in particular was lackluster.
- Combat was route and monotonous. The 8 ability slot limit was partially culpable.
- While I enjoyed non scaling combat, the quests/levels could have done a better job of pulling you along to where you should be for your level and there should have been more care done to prevent complete over-leveling as already boring combat just becomes a worthless hassle.
- The side quests of zones were under-whelming compared to the aesthetics. I honestly felt like my Inquisitor was wasting time, and not uncovering important things to fight the Elder One. Especially compared to my agents who were off doing epic things while I putzed around. Emprise du Leon worked, but the other ones not so much.
- Here Lies the Abyss and Wicked Hearts were slow and a let down after In Your Heart Shall Burn drama levels and did nothing to make the Elder One seem like a fully fleshed out villain or threat. That whole chunk of the game was kind of a morass of monotony and uninteresting minor confrontations with the Elder One's agents.

Dragon age game
War room.
horses
larger areas, felt like I was exploring sometimes.
Felt a little like I was playing origins again ![]()
The feeling of being rebellious
Class skills
the new party combat grows on you, still think origins was more fun DAO 50.1/- DAI 49.9
more fighting
the gear was a big improvement, makes your characters look cool being customizable too
dislikes
lack of female romance options( I feel like no effort was put in at all they just put cass a male version of me without his huge lol, and some OH SO VERY INTERESTING JOSEPIHNE), I don't really care about looks but did they just think okay lets get that out of the way so we can create the romances for the much smaller group of people that play the game? I mean it makes sense to give the bigger group that play your game more options and thought into their romances, I mean do I really need to explain how ratios etc work when making these choices, disappointed.)
I read elsewhere having finished Hawkes story that this was also the case, but I did not notice until da3, where I just felt it while I played the game and thought damn is it just me or what. Nothing against the ****** and female options at all, I find a lot of gay people to be friendly and funny, but more effort/options should be spent on the more "relatable" options to the larger group of your fans, meaning your basically pleasing the largest group of people playing your game, at the very least this just makes sense business wise. pleasing more of your fans by default, not difficult to grasp.
when fighting sometimes the controlled character does carry out the combat command, and just stands there not attacking and possibly getting killed.
Personally that previous characters are in this game, it may just be me, but every new game I like to role-play obviously, with this I often find myself comparing or trying to pretend that it is in a world of its own because now there was that hero and this hero and now this hero, so we are all just replaceable cool story.
Just feels better when there was the Warden and he saved the world, not okay next world threatening issue who's next people.
How it became less of a skill thing and nightmare difficulty was so easy to cheat on, just stand behind an unreachable location and spam spells, was not possible in Origins

Most things, really. But outstanding to me were:
-Companions
-Main Quest
-Romances ![]()
Dislike:
-Dialogue Paraphrasing. Many times what came out of the Inquisitor's mouth didn't match what I expected from the dialogue wheel ("I don't know what to say" after
-Animations. Can they not just use gender neutral animations? They appear weird and gorilla-like even on the male Inquisitor. Manspreading on his throne while condemning people to their deaths just lets him look like a giant douche.
Worth mentioning is also the jarring transition of the femquisitor's walk from girly girl to He-Man all within one cutscene.
-Sidequest content was not fun and did add little. It was, however, mandetory because of the power system.
-Liveless open world. No music, zoomed out camera and too few ambient NPCs contribute to this issue. I recently replayed ME3, and it build such good ambience especially in the citadel refugee area, which also changed slightly over the course of the game. DAI seems disappointing in comparison.
-Cosmetic issues like beige pajamas, Hairstyles etc. Also, no dress in Halamshiral. I know, it's silly. But when I heard I was going to go to a ball I was way to excited from reading to many trashy romance novels: Dancing, beautiful dresses, flirting, what's not to love? Then I see the Inquisitor in her red uniform and i wept, people. Then I look over to Vivienne and see what I have done to her and I wept some more. To add insult to injury, when the Inquisitor danced with Florianne she of course got the male part. Why do I always have to be the butch one, Bioware? I wanna be girlish with pretty dresses ![]()

Likes top 3:
1: Companions, related banter and related quests.
2: The combat.
3: The exploration. Some zones more then others, but overal i enjoyed exploring most areas.
Dislike top 3:
1: Quests without any form of backstory. The main quest is nice, the companion quests are good, but thats it. The Witcher 3 also sends you on a ton of fetch quests, but because of the story surrounding those quests they don't feel like a drag. Also, not enough motivation to complete some of those fetch quests. The shards provide a very decent bonus to resistance, but by the time you'll be able to collect all the shards you've already done everything in the game.
2: The main story felt short and i never felt like i was leading a massive inquisition. Not once did i feel like i was leading the most powerfull army in the world.
3: It was a bit too happy happy joy joy. DA:O and DA2 were quite moody, rather dark. This one felt like a Disney adventure in comparison.

Likes: a lot, and they've been covered.
I especially enjoy the complexity of some of the companions. They feel more three dimensional, which is normally something Bioware does well anyway.
A couple generalized complaints:
1. The internal logic is sometimes lacking. If I'm the leader of this military, social and religious power, why am I running the silly side quests like placing flowers on a grave in a region I already control.
Whereas other times I'm sending anonymous minions, via the wartable, to do some pretty important stuff.
If I'm so important, and the only person that can close the rifts, why am I out doing so many mundane things without parts of my accompanying army?
2. Too many silly zones quests. Do I really need to do:
A. Unlock areas
B. Monuments and
C. Shard collection?
Couldn't those all be collapsed into one thing?
3. Only 8 abilities. This seems incredibly limiting in SP, or at least as a Mage it does.
4. AUTO-LOOT. Why do I have to repeat the same silly looting animation over and over. While my companions do nothing? There should be an auto-loot option where every time I use the search function and something lights up, the companions do the automatic stuff like: looting corpses of enemies killed, gather resources.
5. Less quasi-platforming. I play on PS4, and the movement seems very awkward at times. And some zones (I assume most zones were designed by different people) have almost platforming elements where I need to jump in certain areas, etc. This game is definitely not built for that, or at least on console.

-Iron Bull and Cullen Romances (both are super awesome)
-Companion personal quests were mostly all great
-Advisors were a great way to make non-companions into important characters still
-the more world changing important plots were so exciting
-some of the scenery was really amazing and my eyes were super pleased
-Mages were awesome in this game even if you had to spam barrier (which I still don't know why that's so much better then using healing spells)
-Warriors ability to build guard finally made them feel like they are the bad ass hard to kill creatures they should have been.
-loved being able to play as elves again!!!!
-Having your game choices select the next divine
-Mounts (thought I rarely use them) are a really cool idea. If you could somehow make it work where you still got banter it'd be even better though, but then again banter doesn't work for everyone as is. ![]()
-love being able to dye my armor and color coordinate my team. (Judge me as you will)
- I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of other stuff-so in general just stating most everything I like about DAI
Dislike:
-throwing in player options that were under-supported. Dwarves and Qunari's animations are all over the place, and the qunari have fewer options in gear then the other races.
-Having all 3 female companions against mage freedom. It's unbalanced in my opinion. I should have had at least one female companion that didn't want to lock my mage up in a tower.
-the open world aspect of areas was largely just annoying, especially having to navigate around mountains. Mountains are probably my biggest gripe about any game that has them.
-the rival system was really awesome in Dragon Age 2, and I feel like throwing it out was a poor choice.
-If you have to have a friend point system at all, then there needs to be a friend bar or at least a detailed tracking system. There isn't one, even talking to friends to get a reaction to gauge friendship is not implemented fully in game. (Dorian says the same things randomly regardless for example)
-Sad romances. (Solas I love you as a friend, but I don't get the appeal of your romance at all)
-throwing out healing magic with justifications of balance and not having to give the enemies ludicrous amounts health, and then giving the enemies an obscene amount of health anyway. ![]()
-tying trophies to difficulty setting. Even though I managed to beat the game on nightmare, it doesn't change my distaste for such things.

Like:
The story. I like how it brings things from the past games together. I felt like 2 and Origins had nothing in common, but this game feels connected to both, though more to two. I know lots of people hate that decisions or characters come back up, but for me it makes the game connect to each other and that's a big plus for my enjoyment.
While I dislike most of the companions, they are well written. Bioware always does great characters, even if some of them I hate or do nothing for me.
Customizing Skyhold. Sure, it's limited and cosmetic but I can make it mine and I like that.
Finding out about Bianca.
The ending scene. Sure it's a nasty tease, but it made me want more.
Judging people in Skyhold.
Race choice. Though being called a "Qunari' when you're not one was a little weird.
Armor tinting.
Morrigan. Don't care if she was only brought back because people felt her story was left unfinished, it still is. But having her back and hearing how she stayed loyal to my Warden made me happy. When I read a long time ago that she wouldn't be a party member I was sad. But I feel like I understand why. And she does accompany you on the one mission, so I like that.
Dislike:
The opening. I hate how the game starts after the explosion.
A mage blew up the Kirkwall Chantry and the world doesn't automatically think a mage did it again at the conclave? There's no mage hate? There is some, but it's not to what I thought it would be. Also, where is the mage hate for Kirkwall anyways? I feel like there should be more about this. Or talk about how Anders "did it again." Even if he's dead, there should be doubters.
The "open world." I hate how this is the new thing in gaming. For DA, I'm wandering around doing all these things for what? You wind up with way more power points then you'll ever use. Very little, if anything, affects anything else in the game. I felt like I was doing all these things for no reason other than to waste time.
Lack of choices. Aside from the main story, there's very little. All I can remember is the fate of the elf girl who wanted to be a Warden.
Cullen. What makes him qualified to lead an army? Just like in 2 I don't get why he is in this game other than fan service.
Where was the cast from Awakening for the whole Warden plot?
The approval loss for wandering around and exploring in the Wicked Hearts mission. I don't like feeling punished for exploring this huge place that is meant to be explored.
Heck, the Wicked Hearts mission, period. Like the dwarven story in Origins, it was about the characters and what they did and didn't do instead of their politics and policies. I have no direction to go on as to who would do what if put in charge of Orzammar or Orlais.
The specializations. I liked how the characters had their personal ones in 2. They should have stuck with that. Also, if Cassandra says a Seeker has different abilities from a Templar, why is she a Templar? She should have had her own Seeker specialization.
No tactics customization like in the other two games.

- The Banter!
- My party is awesome
- The Inquisitor
- Skyhold is beautiful!
- Cullenmance and Bullmance
Just Unf.
- Combat is fun.
- Pimping out my armor is great
- Divine System (even if it's a bit of a guessing game. But I always end up with Cassandra so I can't complain?)
- Main quest (WHY WASN'T IT LONGER?!?)
Dislikes
- 8 skills (Yeah seriously. Screw this. Don't ever do this again.)
- Vomit inducing hair.
- Side quests are...kind of **** unless they're related to the companions or are that mayor quest.
- Side content has a weird disconnect to the rest of the world.
- The AI is DUMB. Like...SUPER DUMB.
- Cory is a HORRIBLE villain. Please give us good antagonists. not...Whatever the hell that was.
- There's no real low point after Haven.
- WHY GET RID OF THE TACTICS?!?

LIKE:
- The companions. Yes, every last of them!
- The banter (when it works - sadly, it mostly doesn't for me since February or so)
- The voice acting
- The landscapes and the overall variety they offer
- The crafting system
- The end slides (I found my ending pretty satisfying)
DISLIKE:
- The overabundance of lame filler content (overall, DA:I is a very obese game... so much fat, so little muscle)
- The single-player MMO feel I got from the respawn system and repetitive stuff like requisitions
- The dumber than a sack of rocks AI
- Coryphywaffles (who has about one good line in the entire game) and the very disappointing final confrontation
- The messed up melee combat with the weirdest hitbox implementation I've ever seen in any game
Dishonorable mention: questionable marketing tactics like the "For PC gamers" video.

Like :
- The -almost- open world.
- The animations, with inverse kinematics so prominent. Changing footing or stance because of a little rock is not that much big of a deal, but it puts game physics on a whole new level. Your character feels like they have some weight, i actually like that.
- The story theme in general.
- The characters were good, i got emotional responses from almost all of them, none seemed that bland, even if forced sometimes.
- The Knight Enchanter specialization, finally some option for melee Mages.
Dislike :
- Heavy armor feels a bit lacking in variety, and is not that far apart from light or medium armor. All the tiers progressively just add a tad bit more metal, but still, even the heaviest Inquisition themed armor is visibly missing thigh protection, and the leg armor in general, feels like it's missing something, same with breastplates.
I would like to see some more metal, we saw concept armor that covered that, but it's not in the game... yet (the one with the big inquisition themed curvy kneecaps). It was like the final tier of armor, that somehow is missing from the game.
- Open world was nice, but sometimes if felt too empty.
- Quests were sometimes bland, especially some sidequests that left a lot to your imagination.
- Tactical camera was ok, but sometimes too limiting, especially indoors it was even confusing.
- Villain( not spoiling name, this is the non spoiler section, but few care apparently). I wish it was someone new, or someone other than them. I wasn't impressed with that particular character.
- Class system. I dislike the trinity, leaving everything else to specializations. I honestly think we need the fourth archetype for a next game. A priest-like archetype, not thematically, but mechanically. Magic users that have more ability to fight than normal Mages.
There is nothing more frustrating than hoping your favorite class to play is in the game, only finding out that specializations didn't include it.
We need a 4rth class i think, and this is about Dragon Age in general, not just Inquisition. Or the ability to combine them, like with Mass Effect.
But the current class system? One of the weakest links of the game in my opinion. The only thing that literally puts you in a tiny box with no room to move.
Even if you wanted f.e. to be a Knight Enchanter, you have to spend 10 levels like an elementalist mage, which was the most boring thing ever.
And now that i remembered :
- Final Dislike - Mage Trees. Too much elementalist powers, breaking them down to just machine guns of fire, frost, lightning.

Dislikes:
- 8 button limitation
- Mounts. Compared to Witcher 3 they are useless.
- Elven Inquisitor not being able to understand Elvish language. It really pissed me off in the Fade, in my 3rd playthrough I thought my Inquisitor would be able to understand what Nightmare said to Solas.
Likes
- Combat is fluid, fast and fun.
- Story was allright.
- Zones, especially. Hissing Wastes. I really enjoyed the tomb hunting quest, it felt like an adventure. Although after playing Witcher 3 I must admit they feel empty to me.
- Solas's story is interesting, I'm curious to see what will happen.

Things I like:
I find the Inquisitor a vast improvement over Hawke
I also enjoy going back to a High Fantasy story after being unsatisfied with Dragon Age ]['s Low Fantasy plot.
The most graphically impressive Dragon Age game.
7/9 of the companions. I like each of them, with Solas being the favorite. Even the remaining 2 I don't like I can admit are well done.
Focus Skills
Fade-Touched Materials
Skyhold Judgments
Skyhold decoration
10 High Dragons to fight as bonus bosses
3 enemy Keeps to capture and make our own.
Crafting gear in general
Being able to alter companion armor again.
The vast environments to explore and quest in
Perks system
Corypheus.
Things I didn't like:
Corypheus' lack of screentime.
RNG on Schematics and Fade-Touched Materials.
Small text
8 ability slots
Removal of custom party tactics
Removal of general healing magic
The Shard collecting, and only because without it the Forbidden Oasis has no justification for existing.
Only 3 Keeps to conquer. There could have easily been at least 3 more in the game.
Mounts being useless re-skins of each other no matter the species.
By extension, the Rider's Posture and Antivan-Stitched Saddle perks because mounts are so easy to get back on that they are pointless.
