No idea, let the middle east go to ****. I'm not looking forward to another 13 years of war in Iraq.

They can be stopped allright. Someone just got to effectively oppose them, in a tangible, physical manner. The Iraq, Syria and such directly involved nations are still suffering from civil war or the effects of previous wars, are underequipped, undertrained and the top echolons still plagued with corruption. And simply bombing them like the US likes to achieves very little past the initial, physical damage. And the other arabic nations are happy dealing with Jemen and other alike stuff that's right at their doorstep.

Boots on the ground is what can stop ISIS. Something to physically block their advance and push them back, not simply blow something up every now and then. Problem is, the boots that are on the ground are largely ineffective at the grand scale and the boots that could be effective are busy stomping someone else, or reluctant to deploy because it's costly and bad for press/votes.

The fact that ISIS isn't just a guerilla movement/loose network of terrorist cells but actually comes in definable fronts, supply lines, strongholds and organized armies, all of which convential warfare can destroy, should make them relatively easy to fight compared to stuff like Al-Qaida. That's not saying that ISIS might not simply turn into something like that once its armies are destroyed, its strongholds seized, etc.! Which is likely why so many people are reluctant to invest time, money and soldiers into tackling the issue as they may believe they'll only end up with another Al-Qaida in the end.

Will probably collapse on itself due to overextension, if not by outside intervention. Their "five year" plan is hilarious.

Lolwut.?

Is that for real or just some gag from Tumblr? The Saudi's would prolly be the LAST people to fall to ISIS (let alone join them). They like their money way too much to just let it go.

That's just messed up.  And that map is messed up there are no islands on the left of Australia. It looks like they put New Zealand on the wrong side

Nope. That's an actual ISIS propaganda picture, ripped straight from Victoria 1 and edited.

Apparently, ISIS wants to restore Europe's 1836 borders.

Laugh at them. Terrorism loses its affect if you laugh about it.

Especially the twin towers, it's fine to remember and mourne for your losses, but if you want this **** to stop, stop being so bloody afraid of them.

Here's hoping they make the mistake of infuriating China by trying to cross over their western border.

Gentrify it. Open up a lot of trendy cafes, perhaps extend the L train line, and rent will be so high they'll have to choose between a roof over their heads or weapons to buy, and they'll just disband under the crushing weight of the tides of change.

They're a professional army, fighting undisciplined men and semi-professionals. And airstrikes. This is why they're successful. Not because they're some unstoppable juggernaut.

They'd have to deal with Iran or Russia before that.

All the immeasurable historic relics they didn't destroy and instead sold on terrorist eBay? Exploiting the riches of the conquered regions (oilfields, etc. pp.)? Network fundraising and donations? Kidnapping for ransom?

No bottom right corner that looks like half of Australia but the islands to the left of it are not on any map  I have seen... It looked like they transposed New Zealand there. It's also very close to Australia... But on the wrong side.

FBI is catching most ISIS candidates by creating face social media profiles and luring them in. It is working for the most part. A former classmate of mine actually joined them

The FBI, ISIS or the pals in the holding cells currently occupied by social networking inept wannabe terrorists?

Apparently the US has killed around 10,000 ISIS with airstrikes.

But I think it needs to be a ground war... yesterday. It wasn't long ago when they're total numbers were estimated in the 20,000 range.
