Even if you got the impeachment, in what universe would Congress actually vote for more war?

Public opinion is slowly starting to turn. Given enough time, and more ISIS successes, it's possible. I doubt that will happen for quite a while, though.

Will probably collapse on itself due to overextension, if not by outside intervention. Their "five year" plan is hilarious.

sure i can. because laws were broken in both cases. and people in Kiev have no rights to rule what's left of the country. same situation in Crimeria, people who rule there now, have no right to do that. Difference is in organization of usurpation of power. In one case you have to kill 100+ people, in another case you just deal with problems before hand.

As for Red Army reforming USSR all over again... Jimmy please... it is a very sad thing to read from you. Such mindset is a mindset of plebs who watch too much tv.

What laws were broken? They couldn't have been Russian laws, since none of it occured in their jurisdiction. And it CERTAINLY wasn't any international laws, because then there would be a case for action. Russia is unilaterally taking action based on no legitimate grounds whatsoever. Only the Ukrainian government can take action against Ukrainian laws being broken.

And it may not be Communism or Soviets, but we've seen this type of expansion and "annexation" before. It's got a pretty clear history of how this plays out.

I agree, but the question was about how to defeat ISIS. And that will require someone's ground forces, whether they be from in the region or outside of it. Cleaning up the region afterwards is the problem, and that's partly because many of the national boundaries are more the result of colonialism than any national identity. I'm doubtful Iraq or Syria will come out of this intact. What the region needs is nations drawn up on ethnic and religious lines, the things the people of the region actually care about, instead of trying to keep these rather arbitrary borders intact.

I agree. The region must reach a breaking point where they are either going to go into full revolt against their state or screaming and demanding for international forces to invade. As long as one person would set an American or UK flag on fire at thought of the UN coming back in to remove ISIS or restoring order, then the country isn't ready (and, honestly, CAN'T) be saved.

Since hate for the West will die hard, then "natural" borders must be drawn. And other "ethnically similar" countries, like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey and Yemen, will eat up portions of what is left.

Then, fast forward, thirty years, hopefully cultural homogenity settles in and some sembelence of progress can be had in the region.

Yeah, in a few years. But I think ISIS would have to do a bit better than they're doing. Say, really knocking out the Assad regime.

Only the Ukrainian government can take action against Ukrainian laws being broken.

and what is Ukranian goverment? by the laws of the Ukraine - acting president should be removed from his position by impeachment. After acting president is removed - a new one should be elected. this is where populace begin to vote.

However. That didn't happened. What did happened is coup d'etat. During which many people died.

So. I am talking about constitution of Ukraine, and its laws being violated.

So current president of Ukraine and current goverment of Ukraine are illegitimate.

As for international laws, Jimmy please, you can't force super power to follow these laws. For example public law 107-206 Netherlands invasion act.

Defeating isis is impossible. Its not just organisation or country, its a ideology. Even isis itself would be destroyed, still the ideology would be alive. So then they would just join other similar group like al-nusra/islamic front or create a new organisation

No way coalition bombings has killed 10k isis troops. That would be half of their forces from cia estimates. If they would lose that many on iraq and syria, they could not keep progressing on several fronts at the same time.

Lol...really..nice ball in their flag. :o

I think the bombings did kill 10,000 IS fighters, but of course this means the CIA severely underestimated their overall strength.

70,000-100,000 is the most plausible estimate.

Yes, the army of 20,000 can't do crap really.

http://en.wikipedia....le_of_Ain_Jalut

^ Mongols Army were damaged to that level that they couldn't send more troops to capture Palestine and Egypt.

But above 50,000 can do serious operations.

we should ask US of A, because ISIS is their creation after all.

You know a lot of people keep saying this but where is the proof?

Another one is that ISIS might be a creation of Israel? Their agents....

Also why is Israel shy to say they have nukes?

Oh and the USA should leave the Middle East and let them kill each other...

The proof is, we stormed in Iraq and pretty much destroyed their military and disbanded the guard. That left a power vacuum and thus, we are responsible for it. Plus, the United States thrives on war. At this rate, we'll be fighting one and in turn, the profits rise because of the need for ammo, tanks and uniforms. We need wars, that's how the US thrives best.

Israel is an ally of the US. If we leave the Middle East alone, **** could get real and Israel WILL go nuclear if needed, which in turn a domino effect begins and everyone gets dragged into it.

This. it's a home town problem, until the nutjobs threaten other shores, that is. Unfortunately the entire middle east can't clean their own doorstep better than a drunken hillbilly can, so their problems become global.

But for the love of god, we've been fighting over their for a decade. Throwing money and troops over their doesn't solve anything. Frankly, as bad as it sounds, maybe just having them fight among themselves. I'm done with the war frankly, just let it go for awhile and judge it maybe a few years from now. Just a break from the war would be nice.

Or at the very least let the other countries stretch their muscles in the east. Pick up the slack for once.

Is this kind of thing where the phrase "war is good for the economy" came from?
