The Witcher has romance? To me it just seemed like casual sex and nothing else and I turned that stuff down since an amnesiac having sex with random women if idiotic. Maybe it grows past that if you make the stupid choice.

The content is pretty much the same, a bit of build up and then a sex scene. Bioware were just smart enough to call them romances whilst CDPR didn't. Bioware games have also had (fade to black) casual sex as well, brothels, Isabela in Origins, Zevran in DA2 etc.

The relationship content in Witcher 3 is actually pretty terrific, though a bit biased towards one option because of her significance in the narrative.

but with TW1 and TW2 coming into play, I'll stick with Triss

I think there's a difference: there is usually at least one romanceable character in a BW game that has an appealing personality and whose character story and development that most people will find interesting enough that they'd like to have a relationship with that character - a relationship that extends beyond the goal of just getting them into bed.

I did buy TW1 and played through the beginning, but Triss immediately came across to me as a silly redheaded bimbo. I intensely dislike characters whose very first lines give me the impression that they're completely vapid, so even if I had opted to finish the game, I wouldn't have touched her with a ten-foot pole.

Did not even make it past DA:I's prologue. I've seen enough about the rest of the game to know it's not worth to effort to keep playing through it either. TW3 on the other hand has me hooked.

I need to play a lot of witcher 3 this weekend, have not been able to play due to plenty of work. I like both games, they seem very different to me.

All of that is subjective though. You liking a character more doesn't mean that there's a drastic difference in the type of content provided. Also, the relationships in DA (and Mass Effect for that matter) finishes (content wise) as soon as you get them into bed. That's been one of the biggest criticisms of Bioware romances.

The one reason DAI is better are the environments, TW3 looks like my back yard, hanged people included

Although this is probably personal preference. The very natural and sometimes barren grass lands of The Witcher is part of the setting. If it had the same overly fantasy scapes of DA:I it would not fit as well.

... In fact, DAI doesn't fit the setting well at all. It completely changed it, but I do like the level design nonetheless. Shame they had nothing interesting in them to do though. It gave straight up Super Mario 64 vibes during a little platforming section in Western Approach.

Ya shame that the fans just can't get along despite the fact that the developers of the games actually get along.

That question really has nothing to do with enjoyment of anime, manga and JRPGs.

No it doesn't. I'm not asking if you enjoy it because of that. I'm asking if any of you have been to Japan for an extended period.

The Witcher vs. Cancer.

Playing the Witcher can't get you girls like cancer can. And food. And you can't actually make fun of people with cancer without feeling bad about it.
