No. That would mean he's transphobic (which he probably is, since he's denying that trans exists, essentially). I would have to say that being intolerant and denying a person's gender identity as being valid qualifies as bigotry.
The thing is, trans identity is not as easy to look at and say "This person is obviously [insert noun]". A gay person is obviously and undeniably gay, you must deny reality to think otherwise and you're a bigot for hating them for it because they can't do anything about it.
A trans identity is entirely dependent on how you define things. If someone is of the opinion the deciding factor of male/female is whether their second sex chromosome is X or Y, which technically does decide your sex, then Krem is a woman no matter what she insists. In that case, "trans" isn't a thing, it's just a person with a mental disorder that causes them to think they're the opposite sex. No that kind of classification doesn't make people "feel good" because they're labelled as having a "disorder" (a physical/mental trait that is far outside the norm), but that's not the point, nor does it matter. Really all that means is you're not using the same word trans people use for themselves. Doesn't change the reality of what that person is: biologically one sex, mentally the other. Doesn't make you a bigot.
A person becomes a bigot if they're intolerant of that person's existence, or of their continuing to act the way they do (ie as the opposite sex).
