Is it just me - or is this game getting overwhelming negative feedback?
It's gotten high review ratings - it was highly anticipated, and yet - it's receiving a flood of negative feedback unlike I've ever experienced.

I wonder what BioWare thinks about all this.

The game itself seems good, but they totally dropped the ball on the PC UI, the DLC armor, and other small but important issues. Despite this game being 'jointly developed' for multiple platforms, it is rife with consolitis.

All the review I've read so far are very positive. Same goes for other forums outside of the Bioware social network. For some reason everyone here feels the sudden need to bash the game.

People around here have been so hyped up for the past few weeks (some even months), maybe they where just expecting to much.

Those reviewing it were not trying to do all the stuff we are, linking accounts for DLC etc. I think this is expected with any game like ME2 where there is high expectations, some people are having problems and being very vocal about it, which they should, they want to enjoy the game like anyone else.

Its a minority of miserable types who like to troll. Remember, the most vocal are always those who want to complain. I trust reviews far more than the drivelling children who seem to be the majority of posters here.

all the negative feedback is from these message boards. Thus, it means next to nothing. People on here have been ****ing and moaning about this game BEFORE it even came out. Now that it has been released, did do you really expect them to stop?

Just ignore it and enjoy the game.

To hell with what others think.

I love this game.

You only hear people complaining because the people that is not complaining are actually playing the game instead of complaning.

The 96 Metascore speaks for itself.

I'm pretty sure right now, BioWare is thinking *Cha-Ching!* Being this isn't subscriber based, everyone has already forked over their money for the game.

In all seriousness, these little issues are not game-crippling, just annoying. From what I played without the Cerberus network, it is every bit as good as the first.

Well, IMO magazines are all into shooters hence the good ratings - the issue is that ME1 fans that liked the RPG emphasis just didn't want another shooter with story add on.

And Gears of War with a story (a rather good comparison I think) isn't a RPG (which doesn't neccessarily mean it is a bad game - it just isn't what a part of the ME1 fan base expected from a sequel).

Why do people even bother with complains before they've even completed the game. Seriously some people around here have waaaay to much time on their hands.

Its called hanging a lantern over your problem. And also the people that like it are playing it so there is no balance.

It isn't just this forum though. Many gaming forums are split between the disappointment and the fawning love. Based on reactions, Bioware might be saying "cha ching" right now, but come ME3 they might be sweating a bit considering how many people have already declared reservations about even purchasing the game, let alone pre-order it.

People who moan like to make their voice heard is all. Everyone else who is enjoying the game is away playing it rather than moaning about it here. Every game ever released has a core group attatched to it who do nothing but complain. Look at any internet gaming forum and you'll see this to be the case.

It's human nature - people are irritating and whiny, and thanks to the internet everyone gets to hear what everyone else thinks.

Official forum community feedback immediately post release is almost always negative. The people most likely to be posting are those who want to complain.

This is no different to the reaction to Dragon Age. 99% of people buy the game and quietly enjoy playing it. A tiny percentage get a bizarre ego boost from throwingtheir toys out of the pram and posting an impotent rant about Bioware, EA, Shooters and consoles/pcs.

They are NOT a representative sample.

The game isn't being bashed, people are just complaining about small things. No removable helmets, PC interface...compared to the entirety of the game, those are really small things. Every game isn't going to be able to please everyone, so this is expected. Let them patch the game (I wouldn't be surprised if they patched in removable helmets) and then if you still hate it, trade it back in. No one is forcing you to play it.

Ever heard of the vocal minority? Well this is it. People who enjoy the game seldom come to the forum and make a post about it. If something isn't right however people are damn fast to make sure everyone else knows they're not happy about something. Don't give a damn. If they don't like it. Don't play it.

Don't get your hopes up, they've been asking it for DA:O from day one and it hasn't been added yet...

Just ignore it and enjoy the game.

I love this game.

Right back at you.

To be fair, the little bit I've played (only played as far as the first conversation with the Illusive Man) I've loved.  They've fixed many of my own complaints over ME1.  Shepard walks fatser, can run when not in combat, no fatigue when running in combat, two new decription mini-games that make sense in context and aren't nearly as annoying (THANK GOD!), improved combat (IMHO), re-loadable ammo as opposed to annoying over-heating, more cinematic converstaions, and a huge graphics update.

But I have serious issue with the helmets.  For a game that is so conversation heavy and immersive, didn't BW think having helmets stuck on during conversations would ruin the immersion.  Sure, some people like it, but many do not.  That's why the helmet toggle from ME1 should be added, so everyone's happy.  I want to use the helmets for the bonuses, but I want to see the face I spent time creating and the emotion of the character during converstaions too.  Blinking lights and such on the terminus helmet are great for conversations during battle or in hazardous conditions when you simply wouldn't take the helmet off due to emminent death via toxic gas, but on the Normandy, and other safe locations, it should auto-off or give us the option to toggle it.

Review mean nothing today, only player feedback. Since they gave 8.5 to WARHAMMER, I can't beleive any review online. DAO is also overrated, but unlike WAR it's well crafted and deserve a good score. Burt not the stellar score it got.

From the player feedback I gathered, It looks like this game got a lot of cuts. No more crouch ? No more "mount" (the mako) ? No more inventory, simplified char devellopement.

Looks like they kept the story and shrinked the rest. That game made it out to early. EA touch ? Or need of a lot of money for SWTOR ?

Personally I hate the fact that any one says I did not enjoy the game or was disappointed by X,Y or Z gets torn to pieces by blatant ranting fan boys. That kind of ruins this forum. It is OK to dislike stuff you know.

I have not played the game but am worried by a lot of the stuff I have seen to date especially ref trying to be Halo rather than what BW do best RPG's. I for one will reserve judgement till I get the game, but wish fan boys would stop trying to silence anything they do not want to listen to.

I actually do not have a problem with people disagreeing with me and feel any one over the age of 5 should have gotten over that kind of childish behaviour. I get the feeling a lot of folk on both sides sit with their fingers in their ears going lalalalalala I can't here you. I want to here both sides so I can get the full picture so grow up all of you (you know who I mean).
