Any group that's dumb enough to summon a Forbidden One is out of their damned minds.

Of all things that could blow their minds, I believe the Dalish would have a bigger reaction to Fen'harel and Mythal joined into one. Now THAT is straight up blasphemy.

Oh Ishmael.

Not only was he a total pansy as a boss(unlike the prior two) but it was pretty pathetic that such a major figure was like most people from the preceding narratives reduced to a singular questline.

This ties into a lot of general complaints I had with the game itself however and it detracts from the point of the character in question.

Nah. Gaxkang was no more difficult, and Xebenceck was only hard due to having a great deal of strong backup. And Imshael had a rather more fleshed-out quest than the other two Forbidden Ones.

That took me much longer than it should have.

Ok, now I'm confused. What do you mean "how Imshael made the jewel"?

I'd like to know how he made the keystone jewel too.   In fact of course he made two that could let you into the eluvian network but only one would work with the central console.   I wish it had been explained how he had the knowledge and no one else did.     Also want to know if it was a slip of the pen for Imshael to have said the last time the eluvians worked was at the fall of the Dales, not the fall of Arlathan as Morrigan states if there is no Kieran.   So if they did work at the time of the Dales, who was using them?    I thought it might account for how the elves got to Val Royeaux so quickly and nearly conquered it and also why they risked going so far out of the Dales with their army but of course if the eluvians were being used, then how come the modern Dalish knew nothing about them, so I think it was a mistake on PW's part when writing.

I don't think any of the Dalish Keepers actually knew who Flemeth was.   WoT2 says that they regard Asha'Bellanar as a vengeful and sometimes capricious being who they only go to for aid if desperate as she is just as likely to kill them as aid them.    The Chasind are the same so it would seem that those groups living on the fringes of society have respect for her as a creature of magic.   The Dalish probably figured out she is linked in some way to a powerful spirit but I doubt Flemeth actually admitted who that spirit was.   Of course Merrill does revive her at the altar of Mythal on Sundermount, which I agree would suggest that Marethari knew.   May be Flemeth had made her swear to silence on the matter; she clearly had a strong hold over Marethari considering she took the entire clan across the Waking Sea, losing their halla in the process, in order to wait where obviously she had been ordered to do so.

I wonder how much Solas knew.   He talks of visiting a hut in the Korcari Wilds that is clearly Flemeth's hut, yet he seemed genuinely surprised to find Mythal was alive, which he seemed to know immediately we enter the inner sanctum of the Temple.

Remember how he had the keystone and gave it to Michel.

I was just thinking how we got that codex regarding the Forbidden Ones in Trespasser and how they were banished by the Evanuris. Maybe Imshael had it because he was once an elf or was an entity closely affiliated with them.

I still don't fully understand how Asha'bellanar is regarded by the Dalish. Merrill kneels before her as if she were a revered entity.

I assume the elves knew something was up.I imagine Flemeth answered some prayers directed at Mythal from time to time ...and the Dalish well...it's like when deep down you know something , but you don't like it very much so you make something up you're much more confortable with.

I bet "Mythal" crossed the mind of several Dalish but Flemeth is human and they couldn't have that. They also probably couldn't deal with the fact some of their Gods were among them but this wasn't changing anything , no Elven Glory back.

I think Flemeth said in DAO "Better the conforting blanket of lies than the truth" and in DAI "People do not want the truth".

I never got the impression the Dalish knew Flemeth was Mythal, myself. Asha'Bellanar means "woman of many years" apparently, which might just mean that the Dalish know her as this crazy dragon lady who pops up every few centuries to help and/or demand something of them.

... So, basically they know what Morrigan knows about her, but they don't sass her for it and live.

I think Marethari knew, or at least knew a glimmer of truth. I got the impression that the Keeper owed Flemeth for some past action, and her revival was Marethari keeping up her end of the bargain.

Flemeth has personal history with the Sabrae clan;

"The clan was initially settled in the Frostback Mountains, where it flourished. In the winter of 8:82 Blessed, an Avvar clan attacked the camp, killing more than a dozen including the Second, Sarel, and the Keeper. Marethari Talas ordered her clan into the lowlands, the alpine forests where a Witch of the Wilds was said to be found. It is unknown whether they made contact but the pursuing Avvar were killed by Sylvans." - Sabrae Clan on the Wikipedia.

By this and by the way the clan speaks of and regard her, it is heavily implied Flemeth helped, if not saved, the clan by killing their pursuers. In my opinion, it is the most likely explaination for why the clan's Keeper and her First speaks of Flemeth and regard her as they do.

I honestly wish we could have been extremely disrespect to her in DAI like we were able to be in the prior two.

I mean you can straight up call her nuts in DA II.

The encounter with Merrill is interesting, particularly in hindsight.   Merrill bows to Flemeth, probably because she knows this entity can be capricious and may just as easily kill her, so best be respectful.   Then Flemeth asks if Merrill actually knows who she is and when Merrill replies in the negative, Flemeth says "Then rise, the People are too quick to bow the knee."   Clearly this is an allusion to the fact that the ancient elves were to quick to offer deference to anyone who seemed a bit powerful.

However, when you meet Flemeth in DAI as Mythal, if you bow to her, she approves.   So if Merrill had known who she really was, then Flemeth would not have reprimanded her   It also seems to suggest that Marethari did know and that is why Flemeth asks the question of Merrill, possibly checking to see if Marethari has been a blabber mouth.     I don't think Flemeth wanted her identity revealed as Mythal until she was ready.   Most Dalish seeking her help would simply do so as Asha'Bellanar, so there is no real reason why they should make the connection.   As a Dalish Inquisitor you can say that we have called out to you and you didn't answer, so until you go to that ancient shrine (which no one other than the drinker of the Well seems to know about) it would seem that Flemeth/Mythal did not respond to requests in her name.

That difference in approval showed what Femythal valued.

Sign of Flemythal valuing knowledge, maybe? Closest way I can think of at the moment to describe what I mean. She didn't want blind obedience on account of her being powerful. She's happy when you show her respect if you know why you are doing so.

Might be more accurate to say valuing free will? Autonomy? Love/respect over fear? Informed consent? lol
