I recently decided I wanted to do some nightmare runs with a duo. This one is my newly created human KE and Varric using dagger. We will bring a warrior when we need to bash something but it will be naked, with no talents and AI off.
So far we did the Pride demon start which was a pain on Nightmare as always. I gave Varric a stiletto and Bianca is now taking up an inventory slot I can't get back. Annoying, maybe I will be able to crate it in skyhold later. We beat up on the apostate mages and started on the villager quests (rams, supply caches, healer, potion). Everything is going reasonably well but it is early. I did make some money and spend it at the emporium which means we are a bit overgeared. I plan on pushing through and conscripting the mages early. I haven't ever chosen the conscript option so that will be interesting. I have only recently tried the templar side too. I feel the templar choice is easier but doesn't make sense for a mage inquisitor.
The eventual goal is to finish the DLC with just Varric and myself.
Anyone else run duos?
