If you happen to play this game enough to be in the top 100 then you will know what your leaderboard rank is. If not, you are just 0. Not too sure why this needs 6+ months to fix but hey.
Will the leaderboards ever be fixed?

I don't know that its broken as much as it just doesn't rank you beyond 100. There are plenty of things actually broken to whine about, not sure why you would bother with this.

It's not 'broken'. Not every leaderboard in every game tracks all players. Some only give like the top 100/250 or even 1000. I'm not for nor against your suggestion. I'm just pointing out that "Leader.. board" is meant to showcase the top players in a specific ranking just like the old school arcade High Score. Not everyone that put in a quarter gets to put in their initials.

I think the LB should only show the #1 ranked player, but only for one day. At the end of the day, that player is sacrificed to the Old Ones, and the next day, the Cycle begins anew.
Everybody gets to be a winner, Gold Stars all around.

Because 0 is often the 'null' value used as a placeholder or to initialize a numerical value. Could they do something to blank out the zero? Sure, possibly. All it would take is an extra line to say if Player LBRank=0, then DisplayRank="" or "Not Ranked". You'd have to ask BW devs why display a zero instead of a blank value.
It's an analogy for life. Sure you've got some points doing some ****, but no one really cares about you if you're not in the top 100.
... or you could go with the philosophical response instead of the programmatic one.

Make an alt acct on your console or PC and log into the game and back out. You'll see the alt will not be ranked just like the in-game LB (minus the zero). It's the same stats... unless my alt acct is somehow rekt.

Hey, it says "You are not yet ranked" when I look at the global board. The ranking you do see is where you are among your friends. So at least on the ps4, you see nothing (and I have a long way to go before I see anything.)I know that this is not an ingame leaderboard.

That's tru-ish, but BW scrapes all linked accounts on your system. There would be alot of dead spots on a Full leaderboard (inactive online accounts/alts). So player #29,999 might appear in the 50% percentile, but is actually dead last among all active players (if the number was 30K). I don't think there is any real way of tracking the number of actual players unless they did something like ignored all players with less than 6 hrs of play time.
Or way too much in some cases. You've just been flying up the boards over the past week from around the bottom to having to scroll up a page to find you now.
