Like I prefer the Mattock over the harrier, due to having a preference for single shot rifles (I always switch to single shot with rifles, plus the accuracy and way it fires. Even the mattocks in game description lists the non full auto as a plus instead of a con for discouraging waste of ammo. With the Harrier, I don't like how...quiet it is, as well as the TINY clip size, and lack of single shot. If a gun is going to have full auto, it should have a larger clip, for sustained fire. Otherwise there's no real point, IMO.
Which brings me to heavy weapons. On the opposite aide of single shot accurate rifles, I also like guns with HUGE clips for sustained fire. I'm not a big fan of the Typhoon for four reasons when compared to the Revenant. First, the startup time has gotten me killed in higher difficulties when an enemy popped around a corner, which isn't an issue with the revenant. Secondly, that blast shield makes it dang near impossible to aim from cover, and limits normal field of view. Third, I love that roar of the revenant.
Of course I'm thinking in terms of Destroyer and TSol, which cover the faults of the Revenant. I'll slap the Typhoon on say, the Qsol. Although the starting windup and sustained fire leaves his squishy butt exposed for too long lol. So that leaves the Typhoon better for Juggernaut though id rather he use the spitfire for theming. Which leaves me with not a whole lot of use for the Typhoon.
Like I said, the Harrier and Typhoon are better straight damage, but I just get more mileage out of the utility of the mattock and revenant. (Of course, there is a difference in that the harrier is a full auto mattock, while the Typhoon is a minigun as opposed to the Revenant being a heavy machine gun, so they are two completely different types, but they are usually compared equally)
