Anyone else prefer Mattock and Revenant over Harrier and Typhoon?

I like putting the Revenant on my QFE so i can create a wall of bullets behind which to safetly cast my fire and ice mage spells.
You too?

I personally detest the mattock to the point I would rather take the vindicator. If I'm going to use a single shot/semi auto accuracy is key weapon then I want the rounds to have oomph like the Saber instead of having to spam the fire button and burn a whole clip for a single maybe two kills reliably (I'm not a headshot god).
As for the Revenant v Typhoon it depends on how I want to approach a fight. If I'm looking to predominately engage heavies then it's the Typhoon hands down as it just chews through every defense. Against mobs, the Revenant do to its ease of switching targets, something a fully roaring Typhoon seems to struggle with. I don't understand how almost every BSN member seems to think the Revenant can only spray and pray and suck at that. Last time I checked there was this option called burst fire where instead of being trigger mchappy and holding down the fire button until the clip is empty you fire for a second, realign, and repeat. There's also then the options of the numerous stun and freeze effects to make a sweeping advance where accuracy is less important than laying down hell fire. Is the Revenant a great gun maybe not but it's not a pos either.
As for the Harrier: sorry Op but nothing is going to outclass the Harrier except maybe the Saber. Now that would be a good debate. (Edit: this is my personal opinion)

Don't have the typhoon for MP myself but the Revenent does pretty well on the N7 Destoryer with accuracy buff from devestator mode. Both have their uses revenent is good for all round use and typhoon seems like it's better suited against hard targets (unless you run geth scanner you can pre-spin it before enemies can take a shot at you)
Harrier blows mattock out the water IMHO. If i'm going to take a semi-auto assault rifle over the harrier or revenent it has to be to the argus with max stability for sequential headshotting.

Funny how most debates eventually boil down to "l2p&git gud".

No, it's just a really really lame ass excuse. Oh, I have to wait 0.75 seconds before my gun shoots at max RoF, that makes a gun that does less than 50% of the damage when you factor in the poorer accuracy much better, because it shoots cupcakes at the enemy at 650 RPM right away!
People are so dumb. Why am I here.
So, in time honoured BSN tradition...
Bring me a video of "demolishing" a spawn with the revenant.
And I'll beat the time using the typhoon.

Remember, everything is either OP (which is bad) or shite (which is bad). There is nothing in between. No shades, no sliding scales. Only the opposite extremes. So you see, the Revenant can't possibly be a slightly underpowered gun that is somewhat inaccurate but quite a lot of fun to use and perfectly viable on Gold. No, it must be OMG WTF THISISSOSHITEIHAVETOPOSTAWILLIAMSHATNERGIFRITENAO!!!!!!!

For a while in 2012, the Mattock was the best gun I had. And it cost me a mouse.

Op said what? Mattock, might as well pull out the Raptor. Revenant..I like it and all but ...When shooting at a Banshee right in front of me..only 1 out of every 5 bullets connect.

You can make an argument for the mattock (barely), but the revenant is just a disgrace it takes way too much catering with your kit setup for it to be effective compared to the Typhoon, and it still never holds a candle to the mighty 'phoon.

There are several weapons that only work well on a few select kits. We are having the same discussion about the Striker as I write this. That doesn't mean they aren't fun to uise on those kits, or that using them doesn't add variety to the game. Of course we could all play Javelin GI and Reegar AIU all the time but why would we want to do that exclusively?

I don't get why people are hating on Mattock. It isn't Carrier but it's still one of the better AR's, especially considering how light it is and the fact that it is an uncommon. You can use it on just about anything sans MM kits and it works well enough even on plat. 450 RPM isn't that bad so STOP WHINING about your wittle fingers.

Only with a macro. 7.5 clicks per second to achieve maximum RPM trough-out the game is pretty effin hard.

I like the Mattock although I rarely use it. Given it's an uncommon it shines quite well. Wish I knew about it when I was first starting the game but it got lost amidst the Carnifex Asari Headhuntress and the Salarian Decoy-of-LoLs.

I don't use a macro but I never really find it that necessary. Useful if you're putting a clip into an Atlas' windshield but the thing I like about the mattock the most is the semi-auto consistent headshots. I do find it a bit lacklustre comparable to the best UR's but then, every gun is. >.<

Also on a completely unrelated note, I approve of your signature's superior comic sansiness.

Mattock has the problem of needing to click a lot, which can skew the aim. Otherwise it's not bad. Harrier is easier to use though.
I sometimes use the Revenant just for fun on my Vorcha Soldier (no flamer) because he can sprint into spawns and just cut loose... and usually survives it, too.
The Typhoon is still my favourite of the four.

I personally can't stand the revenant primarily for the screen shake it actually makes it unpleasant for me. It is fine to use less efficient setups for the sake of variety (I do it all the time) but I will still acknowledge that something is less effective than other options.

Depends on the character. I always choose Mattock over Harrier on my Human Soldier because i like to move more than 10 feet from the ammo box, but my Destroyer will always have the Harrier because he can handle the ammo situation. However the Revenant is like the worst Assault Rifle i have every used...it just doesnt hit hard enough to make up for it's poor accuracy for me, so i would choose the Typhoon if it fit any of my themes...but it doesnt so i dont...
Anyways point being that i can out do any Harrier with Human Soldier Mattock on Gold no problem. You can accomplish a lot when you arent hoarding the ammo box. I really am sick of seeing every kit carry a Harrier and i refuse to play with an Infiltrator who carries one on principle. If your kit can solo Platinum then gtfo out of my Gold match and stop wasting my time

No. Mattock = RSI and Revenant sounds terrible.

Ever single one is either way too OP or the worst player i have ever seen who cannot stay on their feet. Why play the game if you just want to be super-OP and insta-destroy the match? Where is the fun in no challenge? Why bother dragging other players with you instead of just soloing it out of everyone else's way?

Is the Typhoon even a version of the Revenant? They seem very different. The Mattock is okay, but not on Plat, and not for more than one match as my finger feels like it's about to fall off after using it.
tl;dr: No.

Mattock does the same exact damage (not dps, damage) as the Harrier. The pyjaks complaining about having to click more to shoot need to grow a quad.
