I have the following party

Me (wizard)

Alistair

Leliana

Wynn

My party is lvl 8/9 and the problem is with Radcliffe village. I seem to have hit a brick wall with the undead attack at the moment. The first part of the battle is easy enough but the second part of the battle is impossible for me. Despite following the tips i have seen posted the battle ends up the same every time. I hold the line ffor a while but eventually get overrun by the waves of undead and everybody dies.

I was thinking of getting a couple of lvls before i try it again. So far i have done

Ostiagar

Wilds

Tower of Ishal

Lothering

Circle Tower

Soldiers Peak

Sulchers Pass

So where is a good place to get experience and money before i try Radcliffe again ?

Go to Orzammar and help the Dwarfs. You will gain a lot of experience and coin. At least this is what I would do

I would go the Brecilian Forest and Haven, and then return to Radcliffe.  I usually do this in an attempt to save all the villagers in Radciffe village.

I would leave Denerim and Orzammar until youre at least 10/11 level (there are some 'gateway' encounters there to scare you away if you're too low level), or are very experienced in combat techniques.

You can get some good experience from Haven and the temple they're protecting, and it's not necessary to do the other quest first. The Brecilian temple has a dragon in the basement, and he has quite a large hoard of gold and items.

If you've already done Soldier's Peak, then the easiest spot on your map right now is Honnleath. It's not all that big, but it's free XP and tasty loot. Plus a kick-ass companion.

Brecilian Forest, Haven and Orzammar (in that order) are all locations designed for parties more levelled up than you are. But you can always start them and then leave them whenever you feel like, and go back and finish them once you are more levelled up.  It is only the Redcliffe Villiage mission where you fail if you start it and then leave before finishing it.

Also, Denerim is a bit of a hub location for side quests. Some are easy, some are hard. But it's worth dipping your toe in there if you're after XP.

Another recommendation for Honnleath as a good option for picking up some easy EXP. I've just  followed a similar questing path (Magi origin/Ostagar+Korcari Wilds/Lothering/Broken Circle/Soldier's Peak and then Honnleath) and am about to head to Redcliffe with a LVL 11 player character.

Orzammar is best left as long as you can really as that section can be really tough espe3cially as a mage it's not so bad if you're a warrior but for mages it is quite hard especially the fight with Jarvia's carta group and the search for Branka part of the level. You can do it whenever you want but Orzammar is best left as long as possible.
