Hey, could anyone give me a quick answer? Is 2handed warrior any good for damaging in the game? What about dual wield rogue? I've been seeing some people complain how they die all teh time with 2handed warrior... so.. any quick answers? Is 2handed weapon warrior viable as the main DPSer?

Dual wield rogue trades damage for stuns and utility (lockpicking and so forth).
My sten uses a 2h axe and does just fine. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Can rogues fight in the frontlines? Straight 1v1-1v2's vs enemies?

they can, but - as you would expect of a rogue-type class - they need to make extensive use of stuns, backstabs, poisons and debuffs to be most effective.

How about a dual-wielding warrior? Do they play differently from a dual-wielding rogue? Guess they do similar damage but don't use stuns and such? Can you hold off on specialising in a particular style for a bit as well, like choosing more generic skills until you get a chance to try all the styles out?

a rogue developes skills to trade strength for their already high cunning, Coupling this with their high dexterity and you have a considerably high dps ( my rogue-human pulls about 160+/sec without all of his self buffs activated) but a rogue posses skills to avoid holding agro... so we can afford to spend more points in dex and cunning than constitution (though it never hurts..) On the on hand this would be nice to increase the output of DPS for warriors... but to use two weapons you would have to sacrifice valuable points from constitution... and use them for dexterity. And it's not easy to hold agro when you are the first one dead.

2-H warrior: solid DPS (and excellent burst damage) regardless of tactical positioning. Survival is questionable and dependent on opponents. Good armor penetrating opponents will ream you. Rogues fighting you face to face will be very weak.
Dual wield rogue: decent DPS which becomes ungodly amazing if you have momentum and are in backstab position. face to face DPS is less than a 2H warrior's, but when you start backstabbing, you do much more than a 2H warrior.
TL;DR version: dual wield rogues are better if you position them properly and micromanage. 2H warriors are consistent regardless of micromanagement.

(melee) rogues will almost always outdamage warriors if simply for the fact that they can pretty much crit at will. The fact that dual wield is the most offensive tree also helps. Warriors get a small advantage in frontal combat because their base damage increases faster than that of rogues when they levelup
Weapon and shield is best for survivability, as you'd expect. So far I have found 2handers terribad. Crap damage, crap defense, (mostly)crap talents, can't hit anything, slow as hell.

I found Sten and his 2 hander tree good for 1 thing: Dragon Tanking.
I have him equipped with the Juggernaut armor set and a nice 2H sword.
There's that one sustained talent that prevents him from being knocked down or stunned. The cool-down on magical healing isn't fast enough to keep up with the damage output of a dragon, also, a good portion of the burst damage is done through fire rather than physical so that shield doesn't help much either.
The best option is for Sten to stay in control so he can chug a healing item when needed and instead, I save the magical healing for when the dragon bites/grabs him.
