I realize I haven't playthrough as a human yet. I am getting human canon run started.
How are you still playing?

Nope. have not touched it in weeks, even though Origins tells me I played over 150 hours. TW3, Order of Battle Pacific, Path of Exile, Cities Skylines and Divinity - Original Sin with some ME2 are my current active games .
I have yet to experience, with TW3, a problem so grievous that I need to delete and re-download and re-install the game, unlike DAI where many were forced to do so.

I'm glad that you had more luck than others did with "The Witcher 3". It was not from it's own share of issues from what I've heard, read and seen.

I read the same thing. It sounds like DA:I's release, to be honest. We don't hear about it on these forums. Some posters are pretty nice, and are busy discussing the game as a whole in order to improve future DA games. Others are too busy decrying their love for TW3 in every thread that they can find, while making sure DA:I fans hear their opinion loud and clear.
On topic: It's because, despite it's flaws, I enjoyed nearly every second of Inquisition. I'm not fangirl, so don't mistake me there. I can and have freely expressed some serious criticisms of the game. However, it's become one of my favorite BioWare games of all time. I personally find the companions engaging, the combat (mostly) fun, the main plot immersive, and the crafting system a cool touch. I felt more connected to my Inquisitor than I did with most of my Wardens, the exception being my dwarven Warden. It was awesome finally seeing more of Thedas, and now in bright color instead of dirt brown.
The only reason why I'm not playing now is because my vid card pooped out and I can't get one for the foreseeable future. It sucks, but my games aren't going anywhere. ![]()

Well, I started playing after patch 4. Perhaps that may be the reason. Also, I'm still at the starting level. Ahh.. I just noticed, while replying here that TW3 updated my game to patch level 1.05.
Anyway, I was referring not to bugs but the way DAI requires player to fix their game.. by either repairng or re-installing or both. As it stands, I also never encountered serious bugs with DAI that forced me to re-install or repair the game.

I haven't run out of things I want to try or do differently yet. If I do, I'll stop. I can quit any time. Really...

another thought is that I played on PC this time around unlike the previous two which i played on console first. Maybe having been exposed to PC gaming, this game didn't click as well as I would have liked it to? I finished only one play through, and I deleted that character right afterwards.

May I ask... if you find the game boring, why bother with inspiration and force yourself to play those nine characters? With DAI I often feel like I am waisting my time, and I should probably do something else. I keep coming back because I get bored with other stuff or when I am tired of playing Witcher...Hey guys
That title probably sounded a lot harsher than intended lol. I meant more of a "What's keeping you interested" idea.
I got the game as soon as it came out (midnight release), and up till now, I still havn't finished my 1st playthrough.
Before release, i'd had 9 characters planned out so I could experience all the specializations and romances
But i've found that the boring story, endless side quests and huge reductions in game mechanics made me lose interest quickly, to the point where I havn't played in the last... 4 months or so.
So, I ask, how are you guys still playing? What's keeping you interested? How many times have you finished the game? I'd really like to bring life to my 9 Inquisitors, and need some inspiration!
I've finished DAI twice, and my first character was only level 18, because half way through I have realised that I am not missing anything by not doing those side quests, and just finished the game. It had sadly very little replay value for me, and no amount of headcanon can fix it.
So... why not just do something else?

I finally managed to tear myself away from DAI to play a different game, and I am glad I did...

We just got our boxed copy in the mail. As much as I'm an advocate for saving some trees and going digital, I had a good time reading through a real manual on the way to work this morning.

Haven't played in a few weeks now. I am going through all the DAO Origins right atm. I found that by playing and beating DAO and DA2, DAI is seen a lot differently now, so I'm working through my perfect games for DAO and DA2, then with my new knowledge, I will start up DAI and make the choices that should have been made last PT.

I lament my lack of a printed manual. My boxed copy was sent to the wrong place (I've moved twice since backing the project, and apparently I failed to update my address at least once). We just got our boxed copy in the mail. I enjoy the game. I have 12 playthroughs completed. The next playthrough I do, might happen when the next dlc is released.
I find that insane that you'd devote that much time to play this mediocre game. How much hours total? 1000+?

Not sure about the number of hours

I stopped playing during the middle of my second playthrough, in December. This game is terrible i couldnt slog on anymore. The worst Bioware game i've ever played imo.

Because the game has terrible game design and the sidequests are horrible, the main quest is mediocre and short. So yes i think that is insane you slogged 12 playthroughs.

I see myself as the type of person that can understand why people like a certain game but i cant see why anybody would slog through 12 PLAYTHROUGHS of DAI when the consensus is that it's the most boring and tedious game Bioware has ever made.

Nah, his opinion is far more valid than other folks, I think. Otherwise he wouldn't be circumventing what I assume must have been a forum ban to share his original and thought provoking opinions. He's gotta get this message out, and damn the consequences.

You can hate if you want, but don't say I'm insane for playing the game a number of times.

Currently playing my second playthrough. And in short. Its an amazing game. I love the story, I love the characters, and I love the gameplay. The voice acting...the crafting...there is just so much to love in the game.
From the instant and insane variances, you can be battiling giants and then brontos can show up, or phoenixes, or a whole lot of different things...its compelling as heck.
I think honestly I keep on hopping around. Never trying to bite off more then I can chew, and keep on moving. I do not do everything in the same playthrough. And even in my current playthrough which is more completionist then the last (doing more quests, making a genuine effort to collect all the shards), I am still quite surprised at the fun I am having. Only been overly frustrated twice with the game this playthrough, less then the first one, and one of those times happened today coincedentally.
