I realize I haven't playthrough as a human yet. I am getting human canon run started.

Of course playing a human doesn't have many differences from the other races. Your race has no special missions, no special backstory. It's a fraction of what origins offered.

My copy of the game has a Noble heritage attached, and several dialogue and storied choices to be made along the way. Recommended.

Nah, his opinion is far more valid than other folks, I think. Otherwise he wouldn't be circumventing what I assume must have been a forum ban to share his original and thought provoking opinions. He's gotta get this message out, and damn the consequences.

Not only is his opinion more valid it is CONSENSUS as well. ;-)

If anyone complained that DAI had too much jumping, the ME4 trailer brought jumping to a new high.  Rocket powered boots anyone?

Well, I don't think the complaints were centered around juming in and of itself. It was centered around having to platform from tiny ledge to tiny ledge to get to a certain spot or thing, which (1) looked silly and nonsensical and (2) was a huge pain in the ass with the whole "tiny"part.

With MEA, rocket powered boots kinda makes sense and could, theoretically, actually be integrated well with the combat and exploration mechanics.

Edit : Wait, how did this thread get to jumping?

The jumping in DAI is like the Mako in ME. With a modicum of patience, it isn't difficult. And with both, I don't really understand the complaints.

Personally, am quite pleased that Jumping is included as it allows for Falling Damage. It allows for another method of motion for Players; also hope that Swimming will be included in the future.

What I dislike are Jumping puzzles, as my reflexes are lesser than those of my character. That said, these are optional in DAI, and can choose them or not.

Also, like the Mako; dislike the Hammerhead. Am pleased the former is making a return to that series.

There are cery few things in DAINI would classify as jumping puzzles. Most of the hills and such provided an easier path to the top; I just had to take the time to find it.

Agreed; some of the Shards and Bottles included such a test of my patience, and skipped many of them as they are thankfully optional.

Jumping allowed me to tactically gain better terrain advantages before battles; something missed in the prior games as a rule.

I saw no reason at all to collect the bottles. Those were a massive waste of time.

But I did get all the shards.

Jumping allowed me to tactically gain better terrain advantages before battles; something missed in the prior games as a rule.

This worked extremely well.

I played it once a while back. You'd have to hold a gun to my head to make me play it again.

In a few days, I'll be playing again.  I got fortunate and I can actually afford the video card I was looking at.  How can I still be playing?  I want to see what happens to my mage in love with Solas.  I still don't know if I'm going to have her blood writing removed or not.  I haven't youtube'd any of the romances, and I want to see firsthand what happens to her.

Also, I have never played JoH.  I own it, but the day I was getting ready to do it (once I returned with Morrigan back through the eluvian,) was the day that my vid card died.  I'm excited and looking forward to that.  Oh and eventually, I want to make sure I do all of the class specs at least once.  I've got a Qunari Reaver that I've got in mind for later.   ;)  I'm not doing very many requisitions, save ones like in the Western Approach that just drop from enemies and require no useful mats.

After that, I'll either finish my ME session (been meaning to do that) or grab PoE, since I've heard a lot of excellent things about it.  I've gotten some recommendations from friends that I trust too.

Haven't played since trying a second run and finding the first experience had killed any will to do so.

Still sort of interested to see if they might put out a good story DLC that might spark the embers a little.

Are you going to try for the Solas romance?  Also, what class?  My Dalish is a Rift mage and I can't wait to get back to her.  I'm going to try out the new Stonebear armor for her as well.  :D

What keeps me playing is that I'm an achievement junkie. I've gotten every achievement for Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II so I want to get all for Dragon Age: Inquisition and for its tiles in the Keep.

The stonebear works, the other looks weird on my petite elven lass ;-) I was sort of going for Solas but then I made Cullen blush and mumble...it sort of from rpg reasons may have been the beginning of something. It is  still early in the hinterlands so no spec yet, we'll see. Was a bit surprised that the game threw me solo into the crossroads. It was a bit tough I must say.

This is basically what happened whenever I tried to shoot for not Alistair in DAO.

On the plus side, I think I'm finally gonna shoot for Zevran on a hopefully starting this weekend DAO run. I want to start a Dalish mage for Solas too, but I'm gonna go through from the beginning.

Don't blame you for going after Cullen.  There is something pretty damned cute about his smirking smile.
