Wait, this statement is wrong, because you clearly need to use it vs enemy barriers & cold resistent enemies (were there cold immune enemies around? I don't recall), and it cuts down a lot more time than 'a few seconds'. If you want to demonstrate only using CB, go ahead, but I am certain you'll have longer results without PC -- and it isn't terribly fun to demonstrate.
PC is used in roughly 90% of my gametime because 90% of mine is CQC and vs targets weak to PC or strong against CB. The remainder is split between hot licks, ranged enemies and CB.
Solo virtuoso is not part of that. I use the kiting style too, though less effectively than a practiced pro CB'er, but well enough to dominate solo virtuoso with it against RTC and such.
CB is a lot better than I originally thought, the Pro's of CB being what I wanted and challenged SB to demonstrate (and we got), but SB is still in denial about the cons of CB.
CB has issues, part of which being interface in how its used, that it is weak and wasted among high burst dps teammates, cold resist / immune targets, and high hp enemies that don't cluster.
One cast will not guarantee enemy death for players that are not SB or myself as SB advertises against Perilous targets for everyone (our combined skill, stats and gear are ridiculous vs everyone else). Threatening, sure, but at this point basic attacks guarantee quick deaths too on Threatening.
So it isn't an end-all-be all. Still awesome, but the usage models are different than advertised. Our third party Akots was able to use both with equal ability, which is good, but that means it also has weaknesses just as PC does (the most obvious being range).
