There's an inherent irony to your first statement here, the very nature of declaring both abilities are great (and other accurate information on how to play), is telling people how to play, even when the intent is on not on what style they should play.
The inability to see weaknesses part is due to lack of serious burst dps competition on your part, since you're king of your pond. You wouldn't be casting CB, but would be casting FB (or other spells) instead around high burst players that I play with. I can't speak for your teammates, but mine would mop the floor with enemies and we're all stuck doing the waiting for spawn game-- and eating sandwiches while waiting.
I'd be casting CB and or PC as appropriately too, only at different ranges.
Statement 1: This started as me correcting your incorrect statements about CB. Notifying people that CB does reliably activate encore (whereas PC does not) and that CB cannot be blocked by swordsmen is not telling people how to play. Showing people that CB can be just as viable as PC is not telling people which one to use. Telling people not to use CB because it is terrible and instead tell them to use PC... that is telling them how to play.
Statement 2: Incorrect. I play with highly competent and highly competitive people who vigorously compete with me for kills. I would love to post a clip of the game I talked about earlier, but sadly I did not record it. I guess will have to settle for something a bit less competative. In my average game I might not have the most kills (usually I do), but I will top the scoreboad 95% of the time.
Wait, this statement is wrong, because you clearly need to use it vs enemy barriers & cold resistent enemies (were there cold immune enemies around? I don't recall), and it cuts down a lot more time than 'a few seconds'. If you want to demonstrate only using CB, go ahead, but I am certain you'll have longer results without PC -- and it isn't terribly fun to demonstrate.
So it isn't an end-all-be all. Still awesome, but the usage models are different than advertised. Our third party Akots was able to use both with equal ability, which is good, but that means it also has weaknesses just as PC does (the most obvious being range).
DD still take a decent amount of damage from CB. They also take a lot of damage from fire staff auto-attacks or HL. I actually find playing one class over and over mind numbing; let alone solo (in a team game). I don't think I will be recording any more; it's just to time consuming and boring for the amount of gratification I get from you changing stances, yet still claiming I am wrong somehow.
