Some straight up humiliation going on here. If you look at the comments here, drasca goes from posting gladiator videos and screaming thundadumb, but fails to post any videos.

Snakebite meanwhile has posted 3, while drasca rage quits the thread after being beaten down by snakebite so hard he has to go sleep.

Only a day and a half left of this challenge (which drasca started btw) before Snakebite gets crowned Khaleesi of BSN, mother of Zithers, drascaslayer and the breaker of power chord.

1.5 hours playing. Maybe if you spent less time on the forums screaming then youd have time to actually make a case for yourself. You said power chord is way better than cool beats. You issues a challenge to back it up. Snakebite rose and posted his video. Post your video. All youve proven you are all talk and no game at the moment.

Ironically enough, it sorta is. I originally added it to the Unofficial Resource Library since the OP contained a new ZITHER! build guide video that I didn't previously have on display, back before it started evolving into a full-blown ME3MP forum-worthy fracas.

 

And now it's just gonna stay there permanently. I need to go in and update the title to reflect the title change and add some descriptive commentary about the direction the thread ultimately takes, but this is all just pure gold entertainment.

Drasca hurt his right shoulder during the training camp, then injured it again during wave 2 or 3 (it changes depending on who he tells the story to).

Were my corrections not accurate?  Is CB bugged with encore?  Is PC not bugged with encore?  Can swordsmen in fact block CB?
 
You make a post that attacks me by saying that solo runs on highly promoted characters don't demonstrate how your average player can use that class.  This was my point.
 
Drasca was arguing the opposite.  Your attack on me actually attacks Drasca's argument and fortifies my own.  Your attempt to skew my post has failed.
 
What really cracks me up is how Drasca then likes this post.

Your videos showed nothing new in terms of mechanic of cool beats. I've learned nothing from it, which I haven't knew before this videos.
My main problem with cool beats is what I said, in party setup flaws are huge and it is also a worst song to choose as default song. You ignored it talking about some "scoring top with friends".
Average player is dead by 3 arrows. not 30 like you. This makes barriers less gameplay not that much good. In team setup when you need to choose -> cast barrier to barrier 4 ppl, so archer, other mage etc can ignore damage and focus on dps OR be selfish and pew pew with cool beats so maybe after 12 seconds someone die (with a risk of party members dying and not doing 100% dps at this time) you can choose the second if you like. But me not. For me cool beats is a "additional" skill, taken after other skills, not as first possible like you do. It's a "bonus" damage and just it.

Problem with all those videos, including drasca ones is that you in general play badly, without promotion you will be dead several times. Promotions give you that amount of defense that you can ignore single attacks and focus on damage all the time. If we add to it general poor AI of enemies which don't know what to do with running around player we have a result which is a gameplay in which you can spam one skill for the 95% of the time.
This type of gameplay does not show or teach ppl anything. New player watch it and can't take anything from it, because he/she knows that this this 2 arrows in that moment would kill him/her, not just take 10% of health...
Because of that you made virtuoso, class which lacks variety (4 songs at max worth anything) even less fun. One skill pony, definition of it.
We need more videos of how to play it good. How to cycle songs, use variety of them to buff party, be prepared for ambush, how to in general move as virtuoso with different party setup (all range, all melee, mixed), what is a priority etc. Why you say? Because for example lack of barrier using gives you less xp so how we should use barrier to make highest possible xp benefit and at the same time deal damage with whatever.
Those videos shows nothing of it. Just couple of higly promoted players competing between each other which clear time is shortest. So much useful.

We need more videos of how to play it good. How to cycle songs, use variety of them to buff party, be prepared for ambush, how to in general move as virtuoso with different party setup (all range, all melee, mixed), what is a priority etc.

 

I like this idea. That said, I challenged SB to make these videos as a starting point, because we need to get our feet wet (plus entertainment value). You gotta start somewhere. The useful part isn't always the end goal, but the process, and starting that process is making videos at all.

 

Who's up for the challenge? You just threw down the gauntlet.

Yarpen, I don't think you have read many of these posts because you clearly don't understand why Snake started posting or why he posted these videos.

 

Drasca was giving out incorrect information on some of Zither's passives/abilities. Snake called him out on this, saying coolbeats wasn't worthless, Snake argued the opposite. Drasca issued Snake a thunderdome challenge, Snake accepted. They are the videos you see, they aren't to show any in depth game mechanics or guides, they were a speed run challenge.

 

Attacking Snake on his gameplay or ability choice on a speedrun when he is purposefully showing that CB (the move he primarily used) isn't worthless and that it can finish a speedrun quicker than Drasca can with PC is just moronic. You missed the point completely.

 

Snake didn't issue any challenges, Snake didn't ask to compare e-peens Drasca did. Snake just obliged.
