But did you slay a dragon? No? Too bad, they're good eating. Proves nothing. You wanted a team video, not a 'speed run', so you can't use it as ammo to judge like that. You asked for a video of me playing around friends using CB (first video), and (CB+PC second video) and it is nothing more or less than that. iirc, some of them got greatswords of the dragon that day (and they didn't have any 2H Dragon weapons before).

 

It should've been obvious, but carrying weaker players (the reaver's already been pointed out, guess who the weaker one was in the other), takes more time than solo'ing. The majority of time is mainly waiting for spawns.

 

If anything the comparison shows that mostly CB only is slower than CB+PC mix, because the platform and player comparison is more direct. The mixed one is clearly faster.

 

I asked for the "high burst DPS" teammates you claimed to have, and how you use "carrying weaker players".

 

Carrying weaker players can in no way slow down your time, seeing as even if they do nothing, you are still killing at the same rate as solo.  If anything they could speed it up if they are caught sitting like a paperweight in a spawn point.

 

Dragon does not matter if I clearly stated from start time to opening the door to zone 5.

 

Also of note is that if you cut out the time waiting for chests from the first clip (slightly over 2 minutes), you reach zone 5 in almost exactly the same amount of time as in the second clip.

 

^^^^^ Can't use the extra time to prove it was slower.  Watch it and do the math yourself.

Btw, thunderdome is fereldan castle vs shock dragon. Thats non negotiable (THUNDERdome remember?). Snakebite can you confirm the rules around this?

Its a thunderdome solo. Thunderdome is fereldan castle vs shock dragon.

 

Shock = thunder.

 

Castle = dome.

 

Solo = on your own without a team.

 

See where im going with this? At no point does Thunderdome = elven ruins, or team games vs inferno dragon. Post the damn solo of you on FC shock dragon using power chord in a faster time than snakebite, or go away and admit you were wrong, and that cool beats is a superior power in terms of clearing maps fastest.

Me completely failing to set a time limit on how long it takes you to put out a video is not "both agreed".  "Before the weekend's over" is incredibly vague; I didn't think you might actually take that long, hence me not responding to it.

 

Did I say you needed to post right now?  No.  Just don't suggest changing rules after a submission has been made.  I'm sure you already have enough or an advantage in having a time to shoot for and a much longer period of time to do it in.

doing things willy-nilly will not give us a good comparison. If you want more variety than one faction/one map then please specify. If you get different times on different maps and different factions then this whole thing is (more) pointless (than it is now).

 

It is too much to do each faction on each map and there needs to be some parity if you do multiple maps.

It would seem that you chose Demons judging by our PM's.  Nothing about the multiple factions I suggested until just now.

I would argue with it (ignoring this video e-peen showoff)
1. They can mess up with spawn points, making them in few separate groups instead of one. It can happen very often, especially with player getting behind.
2. They can get down, so force this better player to go back and take care of problem in that spot.
3. Sometimes running ahead players makes shadows and stalkers go and attack those players at back. If they fail see point 2.


As for your rules, they still got some flaws.
1. You should also "check" if you want good rules in this show off where and when are wolfs/hiena/etc on map. They spawn like morons forcing player to run around seeking for them (and also they waste more time)
2. I also not quite sure that spawn in general, even taking into account the same map and the same enemy are identical. Sometimes I chase mobs around the map waiting ages for them (with enough time to get treasure room) on wave 2 FC, sometimes not, just last enemy dead and end of wave.
3. Because of point 3 you should also check scoreboard at the end and see how kills look like. Oranges vs dollars that result can differ a lot.

Multiple does not mean all. I asked him in PM which combos he'd like to do and what he has time for. The end of weekend date, asked from earlier this week, gives him time to respond. The option to submit multiple videos with better times lets him improve his time if he wants to adjust.

 

We're playing on different platforms to begin with, so you can only compare so much. If you wanted actual parity, we'd have to be on the same platform and play at the same time, on the exact same combinations of faction/map/animal on every zone. That's not reasonably achieved.
