We can thunderdome this if you want to prove your point. Each of us can have a race on who's faster since we both have ridiculous stats and gear. Pick a faction and a map, and the fastest solo wins. Don't use hypothetical straw-men, demonstrate speed superiority yourself. Neither one of us can complain about promotion or gear unfairness from the other since both of us are extremely promoted and geared. No level, skill or gear restrictions, just upload it to youtube later with details on what you used-- though I'm certainly not going to use a level 20 Virtuoso since I promote at 20. I can already tell you Venatori and Demons are going to be decisively faster than using CB, while Templar requires using more CB kiting.

I dare you to claim you CB during the FC Z3 Demons.

 

On old maps, everything is guaranteed to be clustered. On FC, there are guaranteed clustered enemies, and lots of ways to force them to cluster, and melee enemies are guaranteed to follow the virutoso. Run to the back on Zone ones 1-3, kill all the clustered enemies, wait for spawns. Zone 4, very little spawn waiting.

 

Pretty much everything is annihilated on route on the old maps.

 

You said 'pick a faction and a map'. Snakebite chose Demons and Fereldan Castle/shock. You have not posted a fereldan castle solo yet, only some team game bs and an elven ruins solo (seriously wtf).

 

You admitted that everything is annihilated on route on the old maps, so it would be pointless to do a challenge there.  

 

Let me reiterate:

 

You (Drasca) asked the guy you were challenging (snakebite) to choose a faction and a map. Its right there in the quote. 

 

He chose a map. You decided that you wanted to do all maps and factions instead when it looked like youd been bested by a clearly better player and a better skill. 

 

You are backing out and making a fool of yourself by doing so, and everyone here is witness to that.

What end of the weekend are we talking about? There are many weekends throughout the year..  

 

Maybe a specific date would help? By Monday 6/15/2015?  What time Monday?  11:59PM Monday?

Multiple does not mean all. I asked him in PM which combos he'd like to do and what he has time for. The end of weekend date, asked from earlier this week, gives him time to respond. The option to submit multiple videos with better times lets him improve his time if he wants to adjust.

 

We're playing on different platforms to begin with, so you can only compare so much. If you wanted actual parity, we'd have to be on the same platform and play at the same time, on the exact same combinations of faction/map/animal on every zone. That's not reasonably achieved.

 

Drasca, quit digging your hole deeper. Your making this epic loss even more painful for yourself than it has to be.

Are you surprised? This is what happens when you are a dick to everyone. They start rooting for the other person. Thats why Mayweather was booed and Manny was cheered. People pick sides based on what the contestants are like outside of the challenge. 

 

At least Mayweather didn't run away and try and play Manny at table tennis instead.

How exactly does any of this affect his ability to play the game and post a video?

I would argue with it (ignoring this video e-peen showoff)
1. They can mess up with spawn points, making them in few separate groups instead of one. It can happen very often, especially with player getting behind.
2. They can get down, so force this better player to go back and take care of problem in that spot.
3. Sometimes running ahead players makes shadows and stalkers go and attack those players at back. If they fail see point 2.


As for your rules, they still got some flaws.
1. You should also "check" if you want good rules in this show off where and when are wolfs/hiena/etc on map. They spawn like morons forcing player to run around seeking for them (and also they waste more time)
2. I also not quite sure that spawn in general, even taking into account the same map and the same enemy are identical. Sometimes I chase mobs around the map waiting ages for them (with enough time to get treasure room) on wave 2 FC, sometimes not, just last enemy dead and end of wave.
3. Because of point 3 you should also check scoreboard at the end and see how kills look like. Oranges vs dollars that result can differ a lot.

Seeing as Drasca doesn't have an issue with any of your points, and Snake has already put out a video. Not sure there is an issue.

Team Drasca, reporting in. (It's just that I have nothing useful or relevant to contribute.) Why? Because I like power chord, because master race must delivur, and most importantly, I'm a hipster.

That said, I must admit, I was impressed by Snakebite's videos.

Ultimately, no-one is as good as me, I just enjoy watching you mortals battle.

You're likely not going to see this, but there is a stark contrast in the way the you and Snakebite conduct yourselves on the forum.  There is a clear reason that people are supporting him vs. you in this instance and it all comes down to the way you have acted and continue to act on these forums.  You have made yourself a pariah and people are treating you as such.  

 

There have been reconciliations on these boards in the past by people changing the way they behave towards others. I would highly recommend you look into doing the same.   You have turned many people against you and will only continue to make more enemies if you continue down this path.

I generally try not to take sides with people. But my viewpoints will commonly align with Drasca and I still have a good deal of respect for his analysis on matters of game mechanics. However, as many have said he may benefit from making his presentation more palatable and break from belittling and condescending tone.

What often happens is that the fight becomes personal and people begin attacking one another's character instead of discussing the actual issue. After seeing this thread, it becomes painfully obvious why. When you can prove him wrong he begins waffling and dilutes the conversation with anything to keep from ending the debate without getting the last word.

I would suggest checking out the book "I'm ok you're ok" by Thomas Anthony Harris. Drasca is a perfect example of the "I'm ok, you're not ok" personality.

I'm waiting for the videos to come out but I fear by the end of this we aren't met with more flip flops and excuses.

Eric Berne's Game's people play, being founder of Transactional Analysis can be a funner (and more enlightening) read. However most of the people on the SB side are children of the id type by this model. They are not adults expecting adult responses.
