I am not really sure why you are being so confrontational and acting like I offended you. I never said CB was faster than PC if encore worked correctly on both. I wish it did work correctly on PC because I do enjoy that ability and would use it more often. All I did was state that its pros and con's greatly outweigh those of PC on Xbox, one of those pros being that you don't need to kite as much as PC and that it is faster for me to not kite to a corner.

As for Thunderdome (excellent movie BTW, just rewatched it last week), I doubt I would win, seeing as CB sucks at killing bosses. It does sound fun though, and that's what games are all about, right? Do I get to choose what level we are, as long as it isn't 20?

 

Seriously though, what do you do when you see four DD's around? You know they tend to spawn 2-3 at a time, and have up to 7+ at a time. I have a difficult time if I don't clear them immediately, and if I am unlucky with dodging the enemy ice mines I will have a very difficult time.

 

That really really sucks if PC encore doesn't work well on XB1. I really do want to see how much / how little it works on XB1 though. Demonstrate-able info is what I want out of you. CB is not really as reliable using the M&KB due to the nature of the interface, and while encore doesn't always work-- I want to know exactly how often and under what circumstances does it work and not work exactly. I want that information and to have a bit of Thunderdome fun. If both of us demonstrate both verifiable information, and how we each clear with our respective playstyles, the entire community benefits.

 

I also like to use killer set to trigger encores between casts, just as you do, only as a conscious choice within the playstyle.

 

No one said you couldn't use PC btw. No level/gear/item restrictions. You can play 20 if you want. I just won't (because I promote). Obviously clearing faster with lower level is more impressive, but no restrictions except must be Perilous, solo, and the explaining context somewhere i.e. written details on map/faction/animals/gear/promotes/etc.

 

I'd also prefer if you cleared treasure rooms, but it is not required. Make notes on comparing whether you're clearing rooms or not. We can adjust for treasure room times if necessary.

 

As this game is ongoing, feel free to submit more videos of faster clears (I doubt either one of us is going to bother uploading more than a few-- or anyone else for that matter). Clock should start at opening of the first door, and end at the gold received for Z5 clear, to remove loading time from the race (otherwise I'd win every time having the faster hardware).

I want to see if this last part is actually true. I don't have enough data on spawn camping to see what maximizes the kills, vs kiting across the map vs LoS camping. Old maps definitely clear faster running to the spawns and nuking them. FC however, can't be spawn camped solo.

 

Also if you notice, your killer set enhanced basic attacks trigger encore as well, so you can PC in between basic attacks for the free PC if XB's encore doesn't work for PC.

 

If that doesn't work for XB, that'd be news to me.

I never get much out of these videos because things do not behave in these games like they do in my average game.  The mana regeneration rate in the one video was so quick I can't at all relate to it.

 

In the other video I watch as the Virtuoso walks calmly right by a shield guardian venatori and then just blasts him in the back.  With me I would be on my ass getting hammered each time I got up.

 

Just can't relate.

And this is why I stopped watching people's e-Peen "I'm right and this is proof" videos a couple of years ago when they were for ME 3.

 

I can still remember some of the PC community's very angry responses to my post where I commented that enemies in N7 Link's videos behave so stupidly compared to how they did in my games that his video was completely useless to someone playing on console.

I dunno, Drasca wouldn't even show anyway, look at how he ran away with his tail tucked between his legs when he was challenged to thunderdome on ME3 vs Penguin.

I think it's supposed to be "fastest solo" since they can't directly compete.

He would have to make his manifest public again, which I doubt will happen without many character promotions prior to the unveiling.

I've been running both CB and PC as a good way to deal with Perilous FC Storm Dragon runs. First of all PC is amazing at dispelling those pesky ligntning rings, arguably the most annoying/wipe causing ability the dragon has. CB is great because it has range. It gives you more options. Like you dont have to ditch your party to go rush off and kill a group of mobs. The damage is fine and of course works wonders on rage demons. Throw in the passive necessities, and you are a storm dragon killing machine.

Demons is actually easiest for Katari to deal with too, since they can't block. The first person I was aware of to post a perilous solo Katari video (pre-buff, but post DC nerf) used TTD + WW against the DC on the Stairs.
