Top ten? Hmm. I'mma need to filter a bit, but here:

 

1. Aria is perfect. I really like everything about her.

2. Garrus clicks with me. I don't know if he's written well, but I think he is. And I know I like it.

3. Tali goes from being a tiny Quarian to the commander of her own ship to an admiral of the ****** flotilla. I quite like her, as well.

4. Morinth. Oh my god, Morith is great. She's fucked up enough to be scary but not fucked up enough to be annoying.

5. Liara - goes from being the daughter of a matriarch that joins Saren, to an information broken doing her thing solo to the friggin Shadow Broker.

6. Varric. I wouldn't add him here if not for that one thing he says in DAI: "Honestly? She's just a better spymaster than me." when talking about Leliana. That gave him infinite personality. He was kind of a joke-character for me up to that point.

7. Joker and his bizarre relationship with EDI. At first he was like "What is this malware installed on this ship for?" But then he was like "Oh, cool." And then she got a body and he was like "Ohhh. Cool." It's one of the nicest love stories I've come across.

8. Leliana scares me after that one quest where things are all fucked up.

9. Vega crashes a shuttle into another shuttle. A shuttle into another shuttle. A shuttle into another shuttle.

10. Gianna Parasini is that detective from Noveria. I just like that she's got that "I am always wearing a mask" thing. It's intriguing. I wish she got more time in game.

Well, I've played ten out of their eleven major games, so I've decided to do my top 10 that way (even though they're not really my top 10 because some games, like DA:I, have a bunch of awesome characters.

 

Viconia (BG) - honestly, she's such a nasty difficult character that it made loving to hate her so much fun

     Runner Up - Dynaheir

 

Revan (KOTOR) - okay, I know that Revan is the PC, but that character is really the lynch pin to the entire TOR EU storylines; great twist at the time

     Runner Up - Bastila

 

Henpecked Hou (JE) - he's a comic character, but I thought he was enjoyable and memorable; I'm still rooting for him to break away from that wife of his.......

     Runner Up - Black Whirlwind

 

Saren (ME) - I love a complicated villain; I didn't agree with Saren, but I understood his motivation and the inevitability of our conflict

     Runner Up - Wrex

 

Loghain (DA: O) - Another great complicated villain; I can never bring myself to ally with him (I just can't betray Alistair like that), but I respected him as a general and opponent

     Runner Up - Morrigan

 

Mordin (ME2) - We need more intellectuals and academics in these games; Mordin was a breath of fresh air in a stale game (even if he did reject my Shep......)

     Runner Up - Samara

 

Isabela (DA2) - She's perfection in every way; a lovable, likeable, and unapologetically flawed character; Huzzah to the hussy!

     Runner Up - Aveline

 

Quinn (SWTOR) - Another character that I love to hate; his redemption was a bit cheesy, but I love a good betrayal (plus he had little competition in this game full of boring companions......)

     Runner Up - Vector

 

Kaidan (ME3) - After three games of building sexual tension between Kaidan and maleShep, their romance is the most statisfying story in all of Bioware games for me

     Runner Up - Samantha

 

Vivienne (DA: I) - She's so damned complex; People dismiss her as one-dimensional and that's only because they don't understand what a rich, deep character she is

     Runner Up - Cassandra/Dorian (tie)

Yikes, this is tough!!  I'm going to stick to DA & ME as it's been years since I played BG, and while that series was superior in many ways, I'm more attached to these two. I'll also stick to companions as there are too many fantastic characters in BioWare land! Also, no particular order either because I simply can't choose. 

 

The top five would be comprised of the following in some order or other:

It actually pained me that I left Shale off my list. She's just wonderful. I really hope she appears again in future. Although, I can't see her being allowed in Skyhold. Leliana's spy network would be left in ruins once she got near the birds!

Have you tried out the JK storyline? Scourge is just...awesome, especially if you play a DS JK. My red twi'lek was so jaded with the Order by the end of the game she was ready to tell them to go stuff it where the sun don't shine.
