Stuns. Yes. No 'stun' message though, they just act it out.

When you stagger someone, it also breaks them out of their attack animation." And leaves them vulnerable

Personally I figured, what a cool ability, so lets put 2x10% stagger rings on and try the griffon bow. That ought to stun everything all the time, right?

It did not work at all, which confirms my suspicion that everything must be within melee range for it to work??

- Did not seem to work with griffon bow within melee range... so may not work with bows?

It says 3 seconds but I never seem to notice that with any stagger on hit weapons.

Stagger on Hit %

  • Increases chance to stun an enemy for 3 seconds on hit by 1%.
  • The stun allows triggering of combos.
  • No internal cooldown.
  • No "Stunned" floating text like stuns from abilities.

Doubt the stagger rings stack

Actually the Rings should stack. All generic purple rings do - it's enhanced ability rings that don't stack. But my experience with stagger was also underwhelming like it does not work and not worth it. Had once crafted a staff in single player with lots of stagger didn't seem to work either.

I feel as though my 5% "Stagger On Being HIt" belt packs more punch than my combined 17% "Stagger on Hit" staff/ring combo. Granted, this is on a Virtuoso, so I'm surrounded by lots of sparkly animations, other people, and other people's sparkly animations so I just might not notice all the sad, staggering templars when they aren't actually trying to kill me.
