So a new poster just got released recently for the new movie, which is due out just before Christmas time 2016. Thoughts?

It wouldn't surprise me if that movie were to get made with him. Question is.....would it be any good? lol
I heard Michael Fassbender is supposed to play Altair. Not sure how I feel about that, but could be good. Honestly I'm a huge fanboy of the first 4 and 1 is my favorite, so I'll probably go and see it.
December 21st. Hah. I see what they did there.
I suspect this will be the first movie to ever need a day-one patch.
Oooooooooohhhhhhhhhh.

Anyways I look forward to seeing the film inevitably flop.
A live action movie? And this isn't a joke?

Buy a season pass and get to watch the following two sequels before anyone else.

I thought Hollywood finally gave up on a videogame movie ever being a good idea.
Silly. Why would you think that? It would make too much sense!

This actually seem to be done entirely by Ubisoft creating their own movie studio, rather than an existing one in Hollywood.
But yeah, as long as there can be money in it Hollywood will never give up on it.
I think this will work about as well as every other video-game-to-movie franchise cash-in.
Which is to say that it won't. But people will like it, anyway, and it will make money, and we can look forward to the phenomenon repeating itself, like the Reaper cycle. ![]()
Well, the Assassin's Creed short films that were the prequel to AC2 were actually pretty good. So if its like that, I'm not complaining.
I would much rather companies make their own movies in-house. Sort of like what Ubisoft is doing. It gives them better creative control, than giving it off to WB or Universal who won't know the first thing about those games try and make a movie about.
This one actually has a fairly promising director behind it along with a solid cast with Fassbender and Cotillard, so who knows it could be decent. It has the same director and main cast as the new Macbeth adaption.
Altair was the worst. I hope this is every bit as good as a Uwe Boll movie.
I liked Altair, but Ezio is definitely my favorite among the ancestors we've played as so far. As for the movie though, have a little faith. This might just end up being a good adaptation of the franchise.
An AC movie could turn out pretty good. I half-hope they decide to reboot Desmond's story while they're at it.
Ezio is nearly everyone's favorite, but it'd be cool to see Altair in film form.

Ezio is cool and all but Edward Kenway>
Altair was cool. He wasn't as personable and out going as Ezio. But AC1 was still a good game. And I prefer the war/peace, "do the ends justify the means" undertones of the first one over the more adventurous later installments. Not that the Ezio trilogy wasn't great, but Altair needs some love man! ![]()
Oh, f***, that was my 10,000th post!!! ![]()
Could've been better. ![]()

Altair's the protagonist from this series who stands the most to gain from beefing up his rather dull character in a movie format.
