Seriously , I love the DLC armor (especially Blood Dragon and Collector's) but I spent a while designing my character and seeing it covered 2/3's of the game is somewhat "aggravating".

Would dearly appreciate an option to toggle helmets off.

It's not possible, I'm afraid.

They're all apart of the same model, helmet included.

Been using N7 armor for this very reason, way more custom choices for it, it sucks that my terminus, collecters, and blood dragon have never been worn.

I think the remove helmet feature from ME1 needs to be patched in. A lot of the game is about cosmetics and visuals, so I don't think it's a silly request.

Already a dev post saying its not going to change. DLC armors at launch were made full body, unlike the others in the game (they used their segmented system) so its not going to happen.

But then never is a long time ;)

That's why I'm using the DLC armors sparingly. It really is a blow to the story when you can't see Shep's face.

I'm still wondering how Tali recognized me in the BDA.

I haven't bothered using any of the DLC armor. I didn't spend all that time creating my Shepard just for it to be covered with an ugly helmet.

I agree, i like the looks of the Terminus and Blood Dragon armor, but having a drink with your Helmet on just dont work for me lol .

and what are the specs on the armor, how can you tell which is better or dont it matter, im a little confused on this,
i see the upgrades to research etc.

one other thing you cant spin around to take a good look at your guy during gameplay:o

They make it sound as if correcting this is an impossible feat of engineering. We aren't even asking for the whole armor in pieces, just to have the helmet separated from the rest of it for aesthetic purposes.

Wow, sure makes it great that we spent extra money on getting those unique armors and they couldn't think "Geeeeee....maybe they'd like to take the helmets off?"

So now I've got armor I spent all this money on and I never use it because I'd like to keep seeing my character's *face*.

lol i agree guy i got the terminus set and its bad ass but as soon as you drink thru your helmet, well its just not that cool anymore :( .. the in game armor and custom options are great 2 so its not so bad just switch over and buy some pieces from the shops to add to your collection.

Bad thing is that even if you go N7 if you want to hide your helmet you take a stat decrease or you have to use the headshot visor.

I agree with most people in this thread. I liked the look of my Terminus and the Inferno armor, but having it on ALL of the time is a downer.

I was actually a little disappointed that I couldn't keep my Predator X Heavy Armor when I used my ME1 Shepard.

I totally agree. I would think that the toggle option could be offered via an update.

Seems like an odd thing not to be able to toggle. Was it just overlooked? I can't imagine someone at Bioware watched Liara kiss Shepard's helmet visor instead of his mouth and didn't say "oh yeah. that's gonna be a problem."

???

I've customized the N7 armor, it looks total different and my shep has the eye piece, it look great.

I wanted to test out the BDA, that helmet really put a damper on the emotional reunion with Kaidan on Horizon.

I just think they didn't want to make the DLC "unnecessarily" complex for distribution purposes. Making the DLC armor segmented like the regular N7 armor would have required additional coding that would have bloated the download file. Still, we're in the age of broadband internet, and that's a very lousy excuse.

I am still adamant that Bioware should consider taking the time to add a helmet toggle for the full suits of armor, at the very least. It isn't impossible, because this is code we're talking about. Code is rewritable even after you finalize it.

I haven't used my DLC armor for this very reason. I also think that sacrificing an extra 5% HP is worth being able to see Shepard's face.

It really is shocking that there's no toggle feature. I think that it's more an issue of indolence than technical constraint.
