It shouldn't be that hard really I just want the helmet toggalable the entire armor doesn't need to be segments I miss how in me1 you could toggle it off and not take stat losses on almost all of the missions

I'm mostly using the DLC armor (Inferno) as a holdover until I get enough piece to get the N7 to a comparable or better level. By then you can use the visor (as others have pointed out) for a respectable 10% headshot damage increase.
On the bright side; the Inferno armor does have a clear face-plate so you can still see your Sheps face just not the hair. No big loss on that one.

It really is shocking that there's no toggle feature. I think that it's more an issue of indolence than technical constraint.
EA encourages anti-consumer attitudes in companies, and BioWare has been going down the EA road for sometime now. Slipping quality, slipping originality (Mass Effect 1, and thus 2, is just a mish-mash of Sci-fi books/movies). Happens with a company when they get to a size and have to balance financial concerns vs. quality.

To be honest... I think Bioware remains one of the top dev's in this time frame. But indeed... they are a business... and they owe EA a productivity ratio... which means sales. Streamlining certain more "elaborate" elements as inventory management and such was a great move for consumer accessibility.
I think ME2 remains top notch when it comes to most of its elements, but certain... considerations... such as toggle helm, would have been appreciated... I still think its one of the best games of the past decade.

If Bioware was with Activision I would worry about that, but EA is cuddlier and fuzzier than they used to be. Granted they still have an extortionist approach when it comes to microtransactions.MeesterJojo wrote...

N7 armor seems to be the best of them all with all the enhancements you can make to it.
