No, you don't understand.

Valkyrie is better at debuffing, so take advantage of that. Fury's Throw is faster than Valkyrie's Warp, so use a weapon that doesn't benefit from that speed anyway. The result: a way of playing the kit that can't be matched by Fury. And it's a fun way to play the kit, too.

It's not about weapons platforming of power spamming. IMO, neither kits should focus  on one over the other.

I'm saying it's a totally different play style. If I want more weapon focus, there are plenty of kits for that already.

Funny thing... Valkyrie can squeeze more juice out of the same weapon than Destroyer, a dedicated weapon platform can. All the while being more mobile, sexier and lets not even mention those BE's.

You think that's funny, but some people are actually going to believe that! And what's scarier is that even sensible people believe that, apparently. I can't even start to fantasize about what do the idiots around here think...

Besides, I tried the PPR on the collector some days ago... Took me half a game to remember why I loathe the gun. It sucks almost as much as the wraith :S

Would be better on the Justicar because of area Reave, since I can't pull the Drell Adept trick on Deerber. He's too wise.

Which is pretty much the only area at which Valkyrie operates, so you know... no biggie :D

PPR Valkyrie probably isn't as weapon focused as you think. While PPR demands that it's used in its own terms, there are plenty of 'splosions in addition to all the lazoring.

Generally I don't find thinking in terms of weapons vs. powers particularly fruitful. You should maximize the potential of both.

Raider of GTFO!

But seriously, Valkyrie is awesome and much better/sexier than Fury. Hella subjective thing to say, of course and I've seen some amazing furies in my time, but for me, Valkyrie will always take the cake and the cream. Part of it is being asari, of course. The other... well, subjective, as said.

But I really do love my wittwe bwue bucket of destwuction

Forgot their theme music. Inferior kits so jelly.

PPR? Absolutely not. Valkyrie can debuff (and prime) the target from a distance with Warp, shoot while closing in and circling around the target (double debuff), and then end with a boom. Tech Armor means Valkyrie's also more durable, which can be useful, as you can't dodge while lazoring (though TA can certainly be omitted).

Conversely, Fury doesn't have a debuff aside from AF (though DC, of course, primes), and Throw's main advantage over Warp - the quick cooldown - is of little use as PPR requires sustained fire. Simply put: Fury is inferior as a PPR wielder.

And just to be clear here: even though I've been promoting the PPR Valkyrie here and there - partly because it's a rather unusual sight - it's not the only way to play the kit without resorting to Fury's playstyle. The standard method is to make the Valkyrie a superlative boss killer by wielding a high-DPS weapon (like the Raider Mordokai mentioned) and making use of the double debuff capability.

Also I'm not trying to disparage the Fury here. Fury is superior at all mook killing duties, which naturally makes her the better kit on Gold and lower difficulties - and she certainly has a big advantage on smaller maps like the Glacier. On Platinum I'd choose the Valkyrie on my side every time.

^ But Dark Channel jumps to other nearby enemies so you don't have to stop firing to prime next enemy and just keep on shooting. Since PPR has quite the long ramp up. Why I said ultimately this weapon would also work great on Justicar due to area reave cabable of primming an entire spawn for PPR with Warp Ammo 4 melting. Not to mention that area stagger of Reave - Makes me feel like a Jedi waving my force hand instead of the Terminator I am.

Shooting while lazering is also somewhat affected by Combat Walk Speed too. Can you still dodge butt lazers, prime/scion/ravager shots while holding the trigger on the PPR with her? Otherwise I disagree, since letting go of the trigger gives you bigger straf boost for much easier enemy fire strafing

Dark Channel isn't as good of a primer as it might seem on paper. You can't control where it jumps (if it does), yet target prioritization is important - especially if you want to usa RHA to your advantage.

Reave, on the other hand, is an excellent primer against grouped mooks, and Justicar is a good kit for PPR use.

However, both of these issues are somewhat irrelevant. You don't need to prime mooks. PPR melts mooks in the blink of an eye anyway. You want to prime bosses. Warp does that just fine, and unlike DC and Reave, it has a significant debuff effect (and not just for you, but for the entire team).

:P @ "shooting while lazering"

No, you can't dodge while firing the PPR, but with good awareness and spacing you can still avoid all kinds of enemy fire, including everything you mentioned. Every time you have to stop firing prematurely in order to dodge, roll or enter hard cover, you've done something wrong.

Many people claim that PPR is an "easy mode" weapon, which is true in a sense that it's indeed powerful, but they often fail to realize that using it effectively and safely requires excellent fundamentals skills, i.e. awareness, timing, spacing and aim. For them those things are a second nature, but new players either get themselves killed when using PPR or simply fail to use it effectively at all.

Anyway, PPR Valkyrie is something I recommend everyone should try at some point, it's my favourite Valkyrie build. At the moment I'm using Claymore on her, though. B)

Sabotage has a 6 second coolddown with the Avenger X, it's cooldown is on of the reasons I avoid the Quarian Male Soldier and Turian Engineer

Volus Merc is easily the most enjoyable Volus and actually brings something new to the game too. I still need to share my build and advice with this kit one of these days. Just laziness getting in the way.

Also most folks look at Volus as garbage, so then when you do actually do good with one, all of a sudden everyone's epeen feels threatened even if you don't come in first. "Because Volus, he shouldn't of been able to come so close." Is what I meant. So playing as a Volus is very relaxing, because nobody expects much from you and you can just chill and not worry about epeen. But when you do come in first, oh yeah, that epeen feels good and well earned.
