Now you're just being silly. A carrot FEV would transform into a Deathclaw, not a human. Everyone knows that.
thats what the Vault tec guys want you to think.

what if humanity was actually exterminated in the war and everyone in the wasteland is an android?
Nah too much body fluids.
Nah too much body fluids.
Harkness, the only known android, bleeds like everyone else
.......or maybe he's actually a human created by the androids at the Institute
According to the interview with Telegraph the game starts in 2075, two years before the bombs fell. So the pre-war segment is probably as long as the prologue in Fallout 3, enough time to bind with the characters aslong as the writing is good ofc.
Personally, I've always seen the Fallout 3 prologue as just a glorified tutorial with a forced emotional aspect. I mean, all of the time the player could be bonding with the other vault dwellers in his comfortable life, it is instead a "[x] years later" screen. Let's say they manage to pull it off in Fallout 4...
I can't wait until the game completely forgets about your former vault pre-war attachments and has your apparently alive wife die in some random encounter like it never happened.

I don't think Bethesda would go that far. They would just never ever acknowledge that you are pre war outside of the main quest line. Even in situations where it would be relevant.

I get this feeling you are the sole survivor of the Cryo Vault or there is more story in that Vault then we actually know of
What if you're an android who dreams of electric sheep?Hmmmm.
What if you are an android... who was built to chase down the real human you were based off of, who was a Pre-War survivor and was frozen in cryo sleep?!
What if you're an android who dreams of electric sheep?
what if you're a electric sheep?
what if you're a electric sheep?
What if you are actually a ghoul and your character just hasn't accept their fate as a bag of bones.
I would have preferred if they had us play through the first years after the bombs fell, trying to adapt to the changing world while protecting our family.
Of course, it would take effort to portray civilization collapsing and the world turning from what we see today into the Wasteland. Easier to just drop players 200 years into the future when everything has already been firmly extablished.

Fear the Walking Ghouls?
Actually, this one has always been my nightmare in F2.

Not because of scariness, but because he was tough as hell, with a lot of AP.
Huh. I might buy it. I never played the previous 3 games before the new generation. Might as well do it now.
Yeah for that price, I mean I already have 2 and 3, but I don't have New Vegas, it will be great for my PC when I'm done with building it.
I wish I had a PC strong enough to play NV.

I have a laptop capable playing F3 in lowest settings, but I have Windows 7 for it.
Windows 7... don't expect to play a Fallout on that. Or Vista, but still. 8/8.1 works fine though, but I'll be going with Windows 9 too.

you'll have to settle for 10, remember? because seven ate nine?
Yep, that's right...no 9 for you! ![]()
Speaking of which, I have that whole 'you get Win 10 for free if you reserve it now' icon in my tray here on my desktop. Probably ought to jump on that before I have to pay for it.
Just worried about game compatibility to be honest. Always a ton issues for old games when upgrading. That's why I am not only skipping Win 9
, but skipped 8 as well. I hated it, and reverted back to 7.
I just realized: This is the first Bethesda game with faces and animations that actually look realistic.

I know what you mean. I hear Gears of war for PC might require Windows 10, so obviously I will need to upgrade. And I bet half of the games I have here will suffer some incopatibility issue.
Yeah, I'm a total Gears head. I will absolutely have to have the Ultimate edition on PC.
That's it, I'm sold! I foresee Win 10 in my near future.
