Yeah it looked really good, everything that was able to customize looked really great. The Character creation, armor, guns, the home/settlement building. The combat looked insanely fun, and was true to Bethesda's crazy kill people with what you want stuff. For story we know almost nothing, so we'll see when it launches.

Somewhat let down by what they decided to show. I don't have a very high opinion of crafting systems and think they always tend towards all show and little go. Would have liked to see more of a focus on the world, characters, and story. And the 'build your own settlement' thing I suspect will quickly become somewhat of a chore.
The BioWare style dialogue is interesting, though. I wonder how talkative our character will be exploring the world.

Eh seeing as the ball and chain dies minutes in I guess I can live with the predetermind background.
Though I lol'd at the "I'm not gonna spoil" *spoils five seconds later*
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I will be honest, I don't feel very connected to a voiced protagonist with the predetermined background. I rather want a silent protagonist with indeterminate background and several dialogues you can pick to shape your character's personality, as it's easier to roleplay. I just prefer it that my character is a silent protagonist in Bethesda's games, as it let you really BE the character. That said, I have nothing against voiced protagonist, and I'm satisfied with what I've seen...I can't wait for November 10th 2015.

They said they didn't want to spoil much of the story which includes the world, characters and lore itself. Here's hoping for some characters worth giving a damn.
If the PC is as talkative as Booker DeWitt, he's going to be meeting quite a lot of deathclaw buddies.

There have been mods released for F3 and New Vegas that let you build your own settlements, and they seem to be pretty highly rated on Nexus. Anyone played them? I have no doubt what we see in F4 will be very highly influenced by them.

I don't mind it in some games, but yeah i always play Bethesda games first person so it detracts from that experience. It may be that someone will release a mod that removes the voice, or that we have a choice in the character creation. But i am guessing we are stuck with it. Maybe Bethesda thinks it will be easier for them to tell a story this way, might actually be better for them, but not for us. We'll see when the game comes out anyway, he said early on that he wouldnt spoilt any story stuff.

Our characters have voices now? We can see our characters during conversations? Holy ****, I'm actually going to be able to be immersed somewhat in a bethesda game. ((I have special needs alright? Sorry if being a silent first person character makes me feel like I'm being lectured to more then being part of a conversation or scene)).
But no more line-dialouge? Instead a button-push option similar to bioware's dialouge wheel? I may need a valut to survive the copious amount of complaining about Bethesda going "Too Main Stream" and "Killing RPG's".

I'm indifferent about the voice, but I'm not against a voice protagonist, especially when everyone else around has a voice. The little family thing from the beginning has already made me feel the feels, so I'm liking that so far. The only thing that seems strange is the character creation thing, but of course it isn't a deal breaker for me. I'm a happy camper so far, and feel that my character will have a reason to care about the world if his family survives, but I can also role play a bitter character, if his family was to die in the beginning.
