Inexile seems to be official (admittedly wikipedia isn't the best source in the world) not sure about Numenera though.

A serious answer could be him going freelance, like BioWare's Alex Freed or Rhianna Pratchett -- Opens up many doors, as he is obviously still working on that Planescape successor. He's been doing some on and off jobs like that for a while now.

He's writing one of the characters for Numenera, and I think he's a consultant of some kind as well.

 

There was also a stretch goal in the Bard's Tale IV Kickstarter for him to design a dungeon, but I don't think it made it to that point.

I really hope they learned how to do that from NV. They don't need to write a deep plot. Just write something silly and dumb and I would love it.

NV was able to combine the seriousness of FO and the wackyness of FO2. That's what FO4 needs to do.
