Speaking of Presidents... it would be perfect if our character could become President at the end of the game should we choose. His knowledge of the old world should make him valuable to some degree, plus it would be all the more perfect now that the main character speaks. Of course, the Enclave would probably have to be in the game and be joinable for this to happen.

Unless Obama's successor turns out to be a long-lived tyrant who gets proclaimed Supreme Dictator for Life, I'm pretty sure that couldn't happen. Don't the bombs fall in 2077 in the Fallout timeline?

The Fallout world is different from ours 1945 ownards. For example, the first man to step on the moon was someone named Richard Wade rather then Neil Armstrong.

To follow up, the technology is different too (no transistors for a while, nuclear oriented society, etc.)

Yeah, the differences are pretty interesting. Their computer technology is pretty backwards, comparable to those old ones used way back in the 80's. They never learned to created cleaner fuel sources like alchool or eletricity.

 

While at the same time they managed amazing feats, like creating a fission battery that fits on the palm of your hand, while in our world, the machines that create the same kind energy are enormous. They also developed energy based weapons, while we are only scratching that kind of tech.

You mean, become your own power, as in independent Vegas? The summary for Fallout 4 does elude to the idea that the player may be able to go their own way, and not necessarily join a faction: "Do whatever you want in a massive open world with hundreds of locations, characters, and quests. Join multiple factions vying for power or go it alone, the choices are all yours." Perhaps a situation similar to independent Vegas can be achieved.

The release date is November 10th. I think the date on the van is in European format which is Day/Month/Year

The fact that they are still doing behind close doors when the game comes out in three months and not answering alot of questions is very alarming. Also does not help that FO4 is on a outdated engine.

Why is this alarming? Should they show everything? Should they ignore the 400k fans that went to Gamescom hoping to see some Fallout 4 footage? Its on the Creation Engine 2.0 yes, and your point is? I don't get why people are so negative all the time, must be a hard life to live.
