This is worth pointing out - the highest selling, widest appeal, most successful RPG of all time was a game with no cinematics and no voiced protagonist (Skyrim) despite vibrant is and voiced protag being much more expensive to make and difficult to implement.

Voiced protagonist + auto dialog made my interest in the game sink fast.

1 - You can probably remove the voice with a mod (guessing you play on PC)

2 - We don't know what the conversation tree looks like on PC yet.

 

But yeah i get why it has people turned off, i don't mind, but the Bioware style can be quite annoying at times. Atleast when you are trying to be mean and sound nice or the other way around.

I think its great that they just make what they want to make and tell the story they want to tell. This is exactly what i want Bioware to do. The 90% that love your game is much more important to listen to than the 10% that whines constantly, because they would whine anyway. It is like customer service.

Just checked out the Fallout 4 forum myself, it seems really calm. Some people complaining, but like i said a few posts over, someone always complains. Even if you make the best game ever.

My NV guy had the best Fallout name ever (not really)... I kind of want to recreate him.

You can name your character whatever you want. They just recorded some of the most popular names that the Mr Handy can say. I think it is about a 1000 names? 500 for female and 500 for male.
