When I did accidentally do that(Or felt the burning passion of avenging Nipton) I would go through the Deathclaw areas as a diversion, I can outmaneuver Deathclaws, I can't outmaneuver bullets.

Wasn't there a mod that shot Deathclaws somewhere?

I swear, I saw a mod that has a gun that shoots Deathclaws somewhere, but that was so long ago I doubt I could find it again (wasn't conviniently named Deathclaw gun or something liike that, hmph) ...

Really? If there was one place I didn't felt sorry for was Nipton. Even Ghost says it. "That place was a complete ****hole".

It was sarcasm.

I just wanted to kill them for putting mines under the corpses I was trying to scavenge.

That would be a terrible prank to slip in on someone.

I find some of these mods plain cheat and therefore disturbing and despicable.

You could just shoot straight up in the air and let it rain Deathclaws.

Not recommended indoors though ...

That would be a sight to see... then again, they do have to come down eventually.

Do they only Attack enemies, or do they target friendlies as well?

"ICE CREAM!"

It's just another example of Obsidian understanding the world of Fallout better than Bethesda.

I think it was configurable. You could also select Super Mutant Behemoths instead.

But that was a long time ago and the mod wasn't exactly stable. Can't find it, so maybe it got taken down. I know it wasn't on Nexus, but on some other website that I don't remember ...

I did my best not to get vilified by the Legion too early. Those squads really hurt at low levels.

Money never mattered too much to me anyway. The most I spent it for was to upgrade the Lucky 38 after I installed some mods and to buy ammo and meds when it got short. The rest I just found with exploration and looting.

OMG, your are so right. I took a beating the first time I played NV and thought I was a bad@$$, and killed Vulpes and crew in Nipton. I remember one encounter as I was whimp-ily kiting backwards from one of my thrice daily thrashings I was due to receive from a Legion hit squad that was really ripping my little level 5 or so Courier, a new one...continued backing-up...further backing up...keeping back up and firing the few rounds and the powder charge or two I have left...right into a pack of Nightstalkers!

...that ended un-well.

Those Legion boys have some substantial DT.

Makes you wonder what pre-war americal football protection was made off, or what kind of drugs those athletes took to warrant the need for such tough protection.

So, have we reached a consensus that the good parts of this game are going to be good and the bad parts are going to be bad?

Yes.

We have however still problems determining what the good and the bad parts are.

And we all certainly seem to be struggling with finding any consensus agreement as to "goodness" or "badness"as well.

Game Informer put up and article on things that fans should know about Fallout 4 and here are some that caught my eye in particular:

"Fallout 4's narrative has a lot more branching paths and overlapping of "if that than this" than Fallout 3. They want the game to handle all the fail states of missions instead of forcing players to reload saves."

"A list of your settlements will appear in your PipBoy. You can send caravans between the various bases to get your supplies where you want them to be."

"When you play a modded version, the game will make a copy of your save file so your pure state game will be preserved."

Enclave either did improve the FEV, or failed horribly.

Are you saying I can dodge bullets?

No, Neo... I'm saying when the time comes, you won't have to... because you'll be dodging Deathclaws.

Where's the f*cking Blue Pill?!

Excellent read, I'm getting more and more excited for this game... now I just need to kidnap Todd and ransom him off to Bethesda for a Pipboy edition.

When Todd Howard says "we wanna focus on narrative" be either very scared or very intrigued.

Unless...

"We bought Chris Avellone for $15.000.000 to work for us."

I kid you not that Chris Avellone getting nabbed by Bethesda and is currently working on some of the Fallout 4 DLC is a popular rumor. I'd be ecstatic if that was the case. I just hope that wherever Mr. Avellone has gone, he gets more opportunity to write awesome stories. Obsidian (bless them) is pretty limited in what it could do because they were more of a contractor.
